Have some relatives visiting on holiday in July and they are huge tennis supporters.

Anyone have any advice on how to get reason tickets? Never been and all I see are tickets online with huge markups.

Turn up at the gates around 5.15pm as it is a lot, lot cheaper to get in around then plus you might be able to visit the centre court and No.1 once all the best games have played out and some people have left. They are usually quite happy to pass their tickets on.

edit: last time I did it it was around a fiver in 2002.

The tennis that is.

I've heard it's good fun to go and sit on Henman Hill/Murray Mound. If you can't get tickets go for that.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

Tickets being sold online are stupidly expensive as they are probably debenture tickets priced for the rich nobs.

You have to queue! Overnight to guarantee a show court ticket. Or you can do what Kerm said

In the woods there grew a tree. And a fine fine tree was he.

It is a brilliant day out.

Yea you have to camp overnight in the queue to guarantee show court tickets or alternatively queue earlyish from around 7/8am to guarantee ground tickets which gets you in all courts apart from Centre, 1, 2 and 3. You'll get to see some big names in the first week on the smaller courts if you go then.

There's a handful of tickets on sale each night for the following day's play via ticketmaster I think it is which are tickets people have returned so if you're lucky you might get one through that!

Henman Hill is decent, honest!

Deal.

Reckon I'm streaks ahead in the dead threads this year too. I notice someone has got one all wrong while the site has been a total arse to use. I thought someone would usurp me on Tim as I nearly gave up trying to post that after the 15th attempt.
