"Inter Milan are reportedly looking to sell Xherdan Shaqiri and Davide Santon after less than six months, alerting Stoke and Crystal Palace." Low credibility on this rumour, but thought i'd post it up regardless. Shaqiri would be an above ambitious target for Palace, having been Switzerland's key player and started for Basel, Bayern and Inter. Article also connotes our interest in Santon.

Think we'd be more likely to get Shakira but at least it keeps our profile up and hopefully if we get one in, other decent players will follow and not euro claptrap that will play one game poorly, sent out on loan to a Ukrainian second division team and never seen again.

I know it's absolutely ludicrous that we could get him... but just imagine Cabaye, Remy and Shaqiri at palace!!! It's nice to dream sometimes.

PL CLUBS TARGET SHAQIRI Premier League clubs are on red alert over the prospect of signing Xherdan Shaqiri, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Inter Milan are reportedly very keen to sell the Swiss star, who refused an offer from Stoke. It is now thought Everton and Crystal Palace are interested in the former Bayern Munich midfielder.

He is the sort of young, dynamic player who will win us points alone. But he's reportedly made it clear that any 'step down' to a club smaller than Inter and Bayern (i.e. outside of the Euro League) will be a short-term stepping stone to a club in Europe. Nevertheless, he has strong sell-on value and will bring us more success so, for me, it's a no brainer at the reported £12m. You never know, he could just push us into Europe and then stay!! COYP.
