BRITISH terror twins Zahra and Salma Halane were last night on the run from IS and trying to escape from Syria.

The 17-year-olds — whose terrorist husbands were killed in December — told dad Ibrahim, 52, that “everything has changed”.

They were thought to be attempting to flee with a third jihadi bride. Their mum Khadra Jama, 45, said: “I pray they do, God willing.”

The girls, with 28 GCSEs between them, left Chorlton, Manchester, in June.

They kept in contact with their family, who pleaded with them to return from Manbij and Al-Bab in the north of Syria.

A source close to the family said: “The girls say they are not happy there anymore. Their dad said he is expecting good news very soon.

“He understands police will want to speak to them, but they have not been fighting.”

Reports that IS were hunting three brides were first thought to involve schoolpals from Bethnal Green, East London.

— IS second-in-command Abdel Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli was last night reported to have has been killed in an air strike on a mosque in Tal Afar, northern Iraq.

...Says the Sun

On the assumption of truth, I feel it appropriate they go f*** themselves

I'd imagine ISIS are too savvy for it, but if ever they need to have one of their beheading videos, it would be a significant deterrent to any more impressionable British teenagers wanting to offer themselves.

I have mixed feelings. There is a part of me that thinks feck em, they and anyone else who wants to go there let them go but they must rescind their British nationality.

But as you say these are just kids, stupid kids with a romantic view of IS. There has to be some sort of sanction upon their return but if we can help them we should

How ironic that people around the world are fleeing war and persecution while these girls have voluntarily left a safe and happy home to end up in a war.

People who've ended up homeless through difficult circumstances at home have no way back. Not to mention members of our forces who end up with nothing when then return from duty.

I'd like to see this go to a referendum for the lefties. Allow people to return after attempting to join IS or accept genuine refugees.

If they come back they should be made to go around Islamic schools giving talks to other young people about what it's really like out there and how our country perhaps isn't so bad after all.

I'm for real, I joined the army at 16, yes 16, I knew just exactly what I was doing. The conflict in Aden was in full swing at the time, I could have been in that a year later at 17. Didn't get posted out there at that time but I could have been it was the luck of the draw., if I was young enough to sign up for 6 years at the age of 16 ............it was their choice no sympathy from me.

Well said.

My initial reaction was feck em although not literally. But the British government need to do more to publicise their story to show impressionable young t***s the reality of fighting with IS, in particular for women.

The government should also do more to educate impressionable young t***s about how the IS war in Syria and Iraq is mainly Muslim v Muslim not Muslim v non Muslim which is how the radicals in the UK want it to be seen.
