I have little doubt there are issues of over sensitivity but having heard the lady describe the incident some balance needed.

The event was to address sexual violence and abuse. What the feck has where her parents come from to do with anything? And by all means make a gentle request perhaps caveated with personal knowledge of Ghana or Nigeria or whatever. However her ladyship did not read the signs but was at the question like a dog with a bone.

She proved that she had no touch with modern reality and an apology and redirection to a world more familiar to her like hunting would have done the job. The sack is outrageous.

Is FGM violence or abuse as it goes on a lot in Africa. Or is it racist to state the obvious. Maybe the end of said conversation with said black lady and old white lady was reaching that conclusion but now said black lady will be paraded as a victim and no doubt get very rich with a ‘special’ job given to her so she shuts the f*** up.

She apologised and lost the unpaid job she's done for over 60 years. What more should be done to her?

Nothing. She has acted with dignity and contrition. I feel sorry for her as she comes from another age and is almost certainly isolated from today's world in many ways.

It's those who are trying to claim that her remarks weren't racist that I have the issue with. They should know better.

Asking someone where there "really" from can be considered racist behaviour but I'd rather wait to hear both sides before condemning anyone involved.
The lady concerned was wearing what's been described as traditional African garb which could be why the questions were asked. I don't know.

Her 'British' name is actually Marlene Headly

So, she appropriated a Nigerian name, dressed in an outfit clearly displaying African colours, denied that her 'hertiage' was anything other than British, and was not actually even invited to the event, but attended on the coat-tails of another organisation who thought they were helping her to gain support for her cause. She has also extensively tweeted against the Royal Family and actually accused King Charles and Queen Camilla of perpetrating 'domestic violence' on Meghan Markle.

Lady Susan Hussey has travelled the world for 60+years with the late HM the Queen without complaint or blemish on her character or attitude.

Now tell me, that she did not have an agenda...

Oh, and at a society social occasion, I have actually been asked (as a very white, long heritage English woman) where 'my people' came from - it is nothing more than a polite society attempt to find common ground for conversation. But then, not too many people nowadays are brought up with polite society manners...

The conversation was recorded. I have heard it. There is also a transcript. I am sure you can find both. It seemed, at least to me, harassing and unnecessarily aggressive. It was responded to with polite incredulity.

There was no apparent reference made to her clothing, but even if there was that ought to be irrelevant.

Maybe she does. If the intention was to expose racism, then it has worked, hasn't it?

If you haven't actually listened to the exchange I suggest that you do. There was nothing at all polite about it. It may well be that this was a sting, but if so Lady Hussey has let the team down.

OK. The only transcript I've seen was that provided by Ms. Fulani. I wasn't aware of a recording - who recorded the conversation?

Funny, I thought that would be classified as entrapment…

Maybe, if the woman was a guest of somebody else perhaps the godmother wasn’t informed and hence the questioning.

If the complainant wanted to be the bigger person then she should ask for the woman to be reinstated (forgiveness and all that being a fine value to have), but I would suggest that there is more value in getting your adversary dismissed. And of course this times perfectly with William and Kate being in the land of Meghan and Harry. To me it always appears that whenever Kate is doing something Megan has to try and get in the news too.

The complainant is an “acquaintance “ of Meghan Markle, say no more. Just in time for a certain Netflix programme

Well it wouldn’t have been Lady Hussey. This is a total set up by team Sussex ( my opinion of course)
