Only need a bus, no need for overnight, pick up points pre arranged. Am sure the growers would pay for the transport. Originally posted by DanH

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

How do you force the workers onto the bus?

Also, so was the throwaway attempt to equate the other point with something entirely unrelated in order to counter it Edited by SW19 CPFC (17 Sep 2021 3.02pm)

By threat of withdrawing benefits perhaps haha. OK sure Assuming all unemployed and able people are on benefits (which they're not), and that's legally a thing, what happens if only a handful of people live within an hours radius of the farm due to it being in a rural area and therefore low population? What do you do then? Bring people in from the cities on a 4-6 hour round trip each day? As a simple suggestion it makes sense, until you scratch the surface and it completely disintegrates

Bringing foreigners in for seasonal work wouldn't be so contested if we had systems in place to ensure they didn't stay.
