Nothing to do with brexit of course.

"I've never seen such utter tosh in my life... There are over 100 active ports in the UK, there won't be food shortages. It's utter rubbish - Project Fear Mark 2... it should be utterly, completely, totally disregarded!".

Nigel Farage, as if you didn't know.

The theory of Brexit is fine. I certainly thought so. The reality however will be warped to the whims of the political elites. Contracts for mates, more immigration from non EU countries and so on.

They seem genuinely surprised by the finding that the jobs with the 'worst conditions' are causing the 'most pain'.

In other research people in the lowest paid jobs have been found to have less disposable income than those in better paid ones. Now…what to do with this breakthrough?

Trouble for me is,...all the facts and figures about BREXIT have become blurred by this Covid thing.
Figures are just being used to try and justify a particular stance.
I was listening on the radio to one of the Haulage Association management, and they were saying a lot of UK HGV drivers have left the industry recently because they realised they were spending too long away from home , that the wages didn't justify.
I suppose that goes some way to explaining hauliers increasing wages significantly to try and attract drivers back.

I disengage, I turn the page.

To me it"s obvious it"s been a great success! No hgv"s driving up and down the country means less pollution! No beer in the early closing pubs means less liver disease. No shakes in maccy Ds means less fat people! No chicken in kfc and nandos is less heart disease! No toys at christmas means kids can get a kindle instead and do some reading! No food in the supermarkets will save the great british housewife some hard earned money, to pay those 15% gas /electric price hikes! It"s win win people, thats 7 good reasons for having this great brexit deal, stop whinging and move on- and be thankful we have democracy!

Ha, yes, race to the bottom indeed! Having a load of untrained people watching movies on their phone ,driving big wagons for the first time is going to be intertesting to say the least!

Something strange about people gloating at any perceived misfortune to the nation. I asked a couple of people in UK to look at their local supermarkets, one in UK , one in the North. Try as they might to find emptiness the shelves were full of the usual stuff.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
