"I've never seen such utter tosh in my life... There are over 100 active ports in the UK, there won't be food shortages. It's utter rubbish - Project Fear Mark 2... it should be utterly, completely, totally disregarded!".

The theory of Brexit is fine. I certainly thought so. The reality however will be warped to the whims of the political elites. Contracts for mates, more immigration from non EU countries and so on.

They seem genuinely surprised by the finding that the jobs with the 'worst conditions' are causing the 'most pain'.

Trouble for me is,...all the facts and figures about BREXIT have become blurred by this Covid thing.

Something strange about people gloating at any perceived misfortune to the nation. I asked a couple of people in UK to look at their local supermarkets, one in UK , one in the North. Try as they might to find emptiness the shelves were full of the usual stuff.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
