Within two minutes it was obvious 4-4-2 was the wrong line-up. After we go 0-3 down we finally switch to 4-5-1 and get more control. Eze has been poor in possession today being responsible for at least one goal. Kouyate and Ayew at least getting stuck in. For all the flaws we can pick though Chelsea have been class. I guess when you spend half a billion on your squad occasionally it is going to produce!

Best fans in the land??? well they're certainly not on this forum. I know we are not playing well but at least the Ultras never give up trying to gee up the team instead of non stop whingeing.

All I would ask for now is that they remember the Liverpool game. Three down at half time is bad enough, but if they totally down tools like they did that day, they will be humiliated.

Finally switch to 451 when we're 3-0 down! Was so clear that's what was needed after the 5th minute. No point in playing 2 up front against teams where we won't have any possession. It's a waste of a player and just gives the opposition so much space. Was always going to be a tough game but with a combination of Chelsea playing well and us making it easy for them, that was a very bad first half. Improvement in the second half please otherwise it could get even uglier.

Players were poor but Roy has definitely got the formation wrong today or not made changes quick enough.

Most of the reactions to this seem to be giving little credit to Chelsea who have been very, very good. Sharp, decisive and inventive. They would be giving a hammering to many teams playing like this. We haven't had a look in because we haven't been allowed to.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

I watched Chelsea in Spain. Thought they looked very good. Also thought they would be tired today. None of it. Like watching energised youngsters. They are sooo quick.
