I don't know if Wilder would be a good fit here, but I think he would up to the required standard. I was very impressed with the way a lot of sides were set up against us in the championship - I think the standard of English coaches has gone up markedly in the last twenty years or so and Wilder is part of a wave which includes Potter, Dean Smith, Nigel Pearson... Bruce, Pulis and Big Sam were all too good for us if we're honest, there are excellent coaches like Kenny Jackett in League One, remember the young Grimsby coach who set up cattenaccio with ten men and nearly got a 0-0 against us in the cup. I don't see Wilder being a younger version of Warnock - he's a good motivator and communicator, he's innovative and intelligent. He'd be good enough I'm sure, it's whether he would be the best fit for the current squad or the best person to oversee the rebuild that determines his suitability. I'm quite sure he'd be good enough in terms of his experience, ability and achievements.

I can't help thinking that his achievements at SU were down to his long association with the club. It gave him that added desire for success.

He has no such life-long links with our club so I still remain unconvinced that he would do for us what some of you believe he could do.

He is no doubt a good coach, but.....

Total b@//ox!

Please explain how he got Oxford and Northampton promoted then?

OK, so he has some success on his CV. Not exactly top Premiership clubs though.

Just saying that he was very much at home at SU. As Paul Heckingbottom said "Don't forget it's his club.........He loves this place". Sure, he'll do a job somewhere, not certain he's right for us that's all.

His move away was very much down to the wretched owner, Prince Abdullah. You have to hope we don't submit to owners like him. Thank goodness for Parish.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

He would not be my choice at all for the PL.

But a continued lack of investment in the playing squad, then we are only heading one way....the Championship.

For the Championship, he would probably be a good choice.

Interesting to hear the take off the owner on CW.

His recruitment has been terrible, he should have been sacked for that on its own. But when you want to walk away and still be paid your contract...it’s just another world.

The fact he wanted to walk shows his character for me. Same with Howe, when things get tough they say they have had enough and want a new challenge. Yet the likes of Dyche, Farke, Rafa etc...roll their sleeves up and go again. Through the good and bad times!
