Really good effort from the lads tonight. Very pleasing display. I do hope there won’t be any moaning because that was a decent performance. Here are the ratings:
Guiata 7, Ward 4, Dann 7, Sakho 8, van Aanholt 6, Luka 6, McCarthy 6, Jimmy Mac 6, Andros 7, Wilf 8, Ayew 7.
Subs: Schlupp 5, Mitchell 6, Jairo 6.

Very hard to judge Mitchelll on that few minutes but he looked composed and comfortable on the ball. At least he,l get 2 full games in now.

So a player plays in a position because of injury and that makes them a left back ? If a cat barks is it a dog ?

Well if they played at left back then they were a left back at that point, not sure why you have such an issue with it. What are Reidewald’s and Schlupp’s positions then because we know Mitchell is a full back.

Schlupp, Riedewald and Mitchell have all played at left back for us so he is correct.

No,they can play at left back, but only one of them it's their chosen position.

Wish Patrick a speedy recovery. Played well tonight but again lack that final bit that actually results in us scoring. So many chances this evening due to a lazy and lacklustre man unt. So frustrating

Good performance from the lads. If only VAR had done its job. would have been so different if we had got that pen.

Once you realise that, it invalidates your "facts are facts" line. The "same for everyone" is exactly the same as "these things even themselves out over a season".

I don't think that there is great conspiracy in the same way as many but VAR was a terrible idea in the first place and it's implementation has now brought in all this faux precision which infuriates even people who were previously advocates.

It does not invalidate my point. What I'm saying is the point about whether the cameras are accurate enough to be absolutely to the second has been brought up all season, but, if you are going to have the system, you can only use the best technology available. Everyone gets the same technology to decide offside. I am totally against VAR, always have been, but it seems that no one was happy with wrong or controversial decisions made by the onfield officials, so now we have wrong or controversial decisions made someone sitting in a studio. However, eho is going to listen to someone like me or you.

In my opinion, McCarthy is entirely responsible for ManU's second goal. Watch the replay. Because McCarthy trots rather than sprints back on defense, Fernandes has the time and space for the easy pass to Rashford, who slips it neatly to Martial. When Roy says defense is almost entirely about concentration, this is exactly what he means. There is NO excuse for that goal.

As for VAR, I'd love to see how they determine: a) precisely when the ball is passed -- it's inexact to determine when the passer's foot may or may not be in contact with the ball, and b) where to place the computer line on the grass when a player's foot is in the air. This, too, seems to be guesswork by the VAR referee.

Correct

He was clearly offside people can keep moaning all they want the issue is as I saw a poster on twitter mention the var people are dumb they do not even know how do do lines correctly they keep doing them at angles when they should be done based on the pitch lines.
