I don't think any sports were planning to comeback before then anyway apart from Horse racing.

Might give them more time to sort the issues out.

I think yesterday evenings announcement actually makes a resumption less likely now because we have seen already today a large increase in the use of public transport and footfall all over the Country. This is just going to lead to a new surge in people contracting the virus over the coming days and these new cases will start to be evident from about 2 weeks time onwards.

So just when the next phase of non essential shops are meant to be thinking about re-opening and just before schools are meant to return we will be seeing a new surge of cases and an R rate above 1. They will be forced to have a re-think and put the brakes on again and this will just knock back further any prospect of them restarting the EPL or EFL.

I hope this is just an olive branch to the bottom 6 to make them feel better. Of course everybody would like home and away I don't see it is practical as it will tie up resources of the police and emergency services etc. etc.

I see the FA have also intervened today and said the Season must be finished using Sporting Merit which they have stated is either ‘playing the remaining games or using a formula to settle the table’.

This just brings the prospect of an early finish, no or very few further games being played and using points per game to decide the positions, even closer.

Hopefully Brighton play the top 6 to begin with and slip into the bottom 3. I expect they’ll be up for the rest of the fixtures at that point, with a fully fit squad.

Absolutely bang on ... unfortunately! The season will be finished by some sort of formula imo.

I’d settle for that!

Best thing is to continue the season when safe to do so, rolling into the new season a week or so after this one finishes.

Next season, allow 5 substitutes to help with fatigue.

As it stands for the supporters? I would do a lottery of season ticket holders and allow 40% back into the stadium (no away fans) where there are like 3 seats between each other and two rows. That way, it's easing supporters back in, it's introducing staff back in and slowly getting back to normal, monitoring the spikes etc.

I would also, as a government stay strict on lock down for over 60's and ease up the rest for younger and those with stronger immune systems.

That's ofcourse, if you believe all of this isn't a psyop to control us.

I think clubs want to end the season naturally but all have their own agendas...

The rush for a plan is due to UEFA demanding a set date for leagues to come up with how they will end the season.

All because they are worried about European competitions ofcouse so they have their own interests!

There are all sorts of rules and guidelines set up to try and get games played but some seem impossible like no looking when being tackled !

I dont think they would need a lottery. 70% of the population are still s***ting bricks about C19.
Tbh I wouldn't go before this R rate is below 0.2.
If thats a year away then footy ain't worth the risk in my humble opinion.
