If rumours are true, RH is staying, Dyche would/will never come to us. The thought of watching the same football at home fills me with dread. I love the club & always will, BUT, if this makes me a plastic/lesser fan, then, so what. 80% of 'fans' on here, wer'nt there(age etc) in the 60's/70's & 80's, I was. My point is, this football that's being served up is shyte/crap/bollox, why should I renew our ST's & fly over from Spain, like I have been doing? I'll wait for the 'you aint a proper fan/plastic/armchair supporter from the generation of 'snowfakes' we've inherited. I make NO apology for this, its how I honestly feel. Good boy.

While we are OFF topic, I travel regularly from North Yorkshire.. admittedly for business and family reasons also, but always fit it around a game. Back in December I promised ‘she who must be obeyed’ that I would shave off my November ‘goaty’ once Palace passed 30 points...She was therefore as bitterly hacked off as I was after last weeks result and the several before that. Not wishing to become an ‘Uncle Albert’ lookalike, I now hope weekly for at least a point...to save my marriage. Back on topic...As much as I like RH as a human being and a footy manager...for which, in Palace terms, he is (perhaps was) ‘fit for purpose’...i.e., to keep us in the top flight, we should now be looking longer term now for a manager with a little more ‘Ver Ver Voom’ and who is prepared to risk a youngster or two. Bring back Frank de Boer I say...but them my Mrs says I’m mad too😀 Hopefully 1-1 tomorrow.

The board panicked when we lost our first four games and that away game at Burnley was one of the most one-sided games there was with the team on top still managing to lose - even Dyche admitted Burnley were lucky to win. I'm not saying "bring him back" but rather it wouldn't be a disaster if he came back having been given the right remit of what the board want.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Our Next Manager' by bexleydave Do I want them ? No! When Owen garvan wasn’t given a squad number in our first season in the prem he was fuming and came out with “parish lives dougie and he will be manager again” I thought that was hogwash then freedman becomes , well... whatever he is doing now, then I thought wow, ok. Now rot is not renewing contract, it’s going to happen , I have hacked the board all the way through, I have stuck up for them for our squad punching above our weight for years, but now , when we needed it most there is no investment , we could well go down and dougie may well be at the helm What would you lot think about that?

Basically dougie freedman will be our next manager and what do you think about that It's not great is it? However, should the next couple of results not go Hodgson's way then I have a sneaking suspicion that Freedman will be installed till the end of the season.

No way is Roy getting fired The only reasons I could see Roy being let go is if new owners came in or he has health problems.
