Barring injuries I expect to see a front three of Wilf-Tosun-Ayew in the next game. Meyer, irrespective of the injury, still showed no sign of being a right winger and all too often drifted in field leaving Kelly exposed (especially in the first half). Tosun looked like a willing runner, which in our current setup seems particularly important. Hopefully Wilf decides to turn up for the next game and Tosun might get some opportunities to net his first goal.

He pointedly referred to himself as a striker in a post match interview. A first team right winger would be of more use Tosun looks like he'll put a shift in but I'm not sure we'll net more goals

Obviously time will tell as to what he can offer to us. My own feeling is that if he only scores , let's say, 5 goals, but those goals make the difference between losing and drawing, or drawing and winning, then those extra points may be prove very valuable and he will have served his purpose.

Oh to get to 44 points. then have one of Ayew, Zaha, and Tosun, on the pitch at one time joined by two development forwards or mid-fielders. A win against Man City would be a super start towards the points needed.

I was at the game on sat. I thought he made intellegent movement, runs behind their defence, and he put him self about a bit, he gambled on the ball coming to him or tried to get a corner etc. To sum up he impressed me and before sat i wasnt keen on him. COYP

COYP Written by 'Bailey' on this page... ...DCL averages a premier league goal every 322 minutes whereas Cenk is every 241 and he has played less minutes in the league. My view is that neither player is the answer to our problems but DCL plays better as the isolated striker whereas Cenk is the more effective player in and around other players.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
