Brighton are in serious trouble. In their last 4 games have just played 4 teams below them in the table and failed to win 1 game. They now have a much tougher run of games and very diificult run in. Couple that with the fact that Potter is now panicing and playing Murray up front and changing his team and tactics every week. Our situation is not great but right now I would take ours over theirs. Hodgson's experience will see us through. Norwich, West Ham, Brighton are my teams to go down. West Ham over Villa? Much as I'd like it to occur, why do you think that?

I said Norwich, Newcastle and Brighton, so not too good, Yes, do not like Bournemouth either so would be happy to see them relegated, but any of BHA WHU and Watford I would be delighted to see go. I started this thread at the beginning of the season and after start was afraid it may come back to relevance! My biggest worry at the moment is teams picking up form/momentum but if I had to pick 3 worse teams now it would be: Norwich, Villa and Bournemouth.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

To be honest I would have said Villa from day 1 in the season but looking at them lately they seem to have enough about them to pick up points especially with Grealish playing as he is. West Ham have the look of a team heading for relegation. Their fans are slaughtering them week in and out and even though on paper they should be good enough to stay up there is serious turmoil in that club. Their next 6 fixtures are Liverpool, Southampton, Arsenal,Wolves, Tottenham and Chelsea then throw Nan City game in there somewhere.

A quick glance at the table suggests we have the worst most recent form: Unless this form turns for the better we will be in the bottom three. It couldn't be more stark.

Agreed, potentially season defining. These are games where we will 100% be set up not to lose but if we can pick up a couple of wins then there is no reason why we can't go and finish the season strongly like last season.

A key question for me is what creative/attacking players do the teams have to get themselves out of trouble. We're relying on Tosun, Ayew, Benteke, Zaha, Townsend (struggling with injuries), and Schlupp (injured). Watford: Deulofeu, Deeney, Gray, Sarr, Success, Pereyra. West Ham: Lanzini, Snodgrass, Yarmolenko, Anderson, Bowen, Haller, Ajeti, Antonio. Villa: Wesley, Baston, Samatta, Davis, Luiz, Trezeguet, El Ghazi, Jota, Grealish. Bournemouth: King, Solanke, H Wilson, C Wilson, Fraser, Stanislas, Ibe. Brighton: Connolly, Murray, Alzate, Maupay, Jahanbaksh, Gross, March, Izquierdo (injured). Frankly, I think we're in a poor state compared to other teams. The team that used to be an effective counter-attacking side with wingers now relies on Wilf and a constantly-injured Townsend as its only wide players. Having to play Benteke at all is an embarrassment.

They might be in trouble but they are three points behind us and with a better goal difference and unless we beat the Toon in two weeks time they may well be looing at us and leap frogging us when we play them the week after that so if they are bang in trouble then sadly - so are we!
