I think the club's transfer policy strategy has permeated to the accounts department Are we hiding dirty Russian money ? Are we not showing our wealth to Sainsbury's, in order to play hardball ? Wasn't the floppy disk put in a 'Do not bend' envelope when sent to Companies House, and was the correct postage paid ?

Do you have any evidence that the club failed to file the required documents with the PL? If not, why do you imply that part is the issue. Second, on the government's own web page discussing what a strike off might mean: Again, we simply don't know if this is an actual problem or whether it is part of a restructuring (which seems a reasonable guess given that all of the companies related to the club have the same notice to be struck off, and that appears to be one of the main reasons to do that), or something else. Given that previous years accounts have shown few, if any, real problems I suspect (based upon the typical reasons cited in the government's guidance linked above) that the club is restructuring. However, I don't know that and neither do you. Despite that fact, and it is a fact that neither of us actually knows, you seem intent on making mountains out of every single mole hill. Of course, it is reasonable to ask the question in the first place, but it does not seem reasonable to jump to conclusions without real evidence.
I will comment on any issue I choose to, as and when I choose to, in any way that I think fit, so get used to it.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Good to see you’re still lovingly supporting the club with all those positive vibes... Cheer up fella, our accountants will get it all sorted, no need for the bed wetting... Be positIve, still in the Prem, nearly finished top half, great young right-back broken in to first team, new stand has gained planning approval, manager seems to be staying, Lots of things to be happy about... But I’m sure you’ll find something, somewhere to grumble about. Pathetic really don’t you think. Funny how I never see a ten page thread by you discussing anything positive...

Do you really think that's something to be positive about? Not only is it a criminal offence but it's shocking PR too

The fine is about the cost of an ST. We can probably afford the hit, as we are still in the Prem. I am minded of one of SP's golden quotes. "It's important to do it right, which is not necessarily right-now"

If they can dissolve the club over this, then it needs to be taken seriously!!

BBC reporting that they are late due to a "technical issue" and they will be filed in the coming days. Fuss over nothing. They'll pay the £500 fine and move on. Hopefully we can make a signing before the fixtures come out so we have something more positive to talk about! No fuss? It's also an FA rule so whilst unlikely they could impose say a transfer embargo as punishment ( financial regulation I) . Any FA punishment would have greater impact than companies house fines. FA punishment is unlikely but not impossible

If they've not been submitted to companies house it's because they've not been signed off. We are definitely in breach of FA rules

It’s almost certainly a dispute between the club and the auditors on something

It’s like they’re just waiting in the wings for some bad news to latch on to. And they never seem to do the same over the positive things.

The longer we go without submitting, the greater the media attention is going to be on looking for nasties. It'd be very Palace to file somewhat dull accounts late only for desperate media, convinced there must be something gone awry, to wildly overplay some mundane detail.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

I thought this was all just a bit of a fuss about nothing but it seems that things have taken a more serious turn
