It was a bit stupid to quit the HOL. All they have done is lose their voice on here.
What they don't seem to have noticed is that Nick got banned for breaking the rules and pushing his luck with the mods, not his views. They also failed to notice that a number of so called right wing posters had been red carded for far less. That is what happens when you see everything with blinkers.

Go and take a look through the earlier postings on the EU referendum thread: see who is no-longer among us, and where their sentiments lie on that particular topic. There are, of course, many left-wing motivations for leaving the EU, but I'm not aware of (m)any left-wing advocates of Brexit on that thread.

Go and take a look through the earlier postings on the EU referendum thread: see who is no-longer among us, and where their sentiments lie on that particular topic. There are, of course, many left-wing motivations for leaving the EU, but I'm not aware of (m)any left-wing advocates of Brexit on that thread.

I'm not trying to be facetious, and I haven't been a member for long, but I would say 95% of posters on here take themselves just a little bit too seriously. Was it like this years ago? Before social media? No! When pubs were the place to discuss footie, politics etc.. Back then more banter less pompousness, and respect to whom you were talking or you might have got a clump. With forums like these there is a whole spectrum of personalities, all striving to be noticed.

Was it like this years ago? Before social media? No! When pubs were the place to discuss footie, politics etc..
Back then more banter less pompousness, and respect to whom you were talking or you might have got a clump.
With forums like these there is a whole spectrum of personalities, all striving to be noticed.
