Part Time James and Willo; come down to Woodside Road and say that! Edited by tartaneagle (08 Sep 2016 1.34pm) Tartaneagle I've been meaning to attend a Worthing 'Home' game for ages ! You might or might not be aware that their U21 team from last season (Who ended up Ryman U21 champions) have moved lock stock and barrel to East Preston FC and they form EPs first team.

Willo, not sure but think they also reached the Sussex U21 cup final last season, and were eventually knocked out of the FA Youth cup by Middlesbrough. Or was that the U18's?

I like the point about Harvesters - truly detestable, doesn't have to be towns of course, the whole of outer London is an abomination, and Surrey which is basically the same khazi as Essex but with an idea of itself as being somehow closer to Berkshire - and if you want to drivel on about Worthing FC please start your own thread - 'less than a club'. Oh, while on the south coast Hythe is a posh sh*thole - it has that same undefinable bleakness one feels travelling down St John's Hill in Wandsworth - inhabited by the self-satisfied undead.

I need a lie down now I may have certain poncy up-arse tendencies, but I am happily ignorant of Gilbert and Sullivan, but doesn't one of their operettas have a recurring joke that when people get over-excited everyone starts shouting 'Basingstoke' to calm down? I'm not too keen on Gilbert O'Sullivan either, especially after he stopped wearing a cap and got a perm with a centre parting.

I work in Milton Keynes and drive 30 miles to let there every day, when I leave the a5 to start roundabout roulette I get a sinking feeling of driving to a bland place every day. It can't be any different tho really...a clusterf*** of new housing estates and the whole place is centred & built around a massive shopping complex. House prices are extortionate considering it's a soulless bland place.

I know people who used to live in 'Fenny Stratford' on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, not that far from the MK Dons ground.FS seemed a rather bland place to me - certainly no 'Wow' factor. Edited by Willo (10 Sep 2016 10.58am) Dons ground is on your standard idea based retail park aswell, like I said..when a entire town is based on a shopping centre it's got no change. I just laugh when me staff use the term "going up the city" when they describe the shopping centre

Correct. Too many roundabouts, the sheer volume is frightening! I have two places above there though: Flint and Rhyl, in North Wales. Vile places. As someone who grew up and lived in Fflint for nearly 10 years it's hard to disagree. Rhyl however is a different league, you could hardly call it inoffensive, a once thriving seaside town is now just full of drugs and scousers on probation.
