In your long drawn out anti government post you said I have not answered one single point and that is because it is mainly about ONE doctor who spouted off of why the strike is on and his reasons. What about all the other Junior doctors who stayed at their job instead of putting patients at risk and going on strike. Here in Plymouth the strike did not get the turnout they wanted and our hospital carried on doing what they are paid to do by US. You stick with your side of the fence and I will stick on my side which is the side that thinks of all the sick people who need constant care 24/7. I think it is disgraceful that supposed intelligent people who took the job in the first place and could end up earning more than you and I could ever hope for downing tools for reasons they have been brainwashed with. Ohhh dear it was written by a doctor in response to a new contract enforced by JH. Not anti Government, but anti Jeremy Hunt. Keep reading the mail mate, no lives were put at risk at the hospitals still had Nurses, senior sisters and Matrons (god bless them) and CONSULTANTS who are experienced doctors, your assumption that Jnr Doctors were risking lives is just plain wrong. end of. Your ex services what would you think if the Gurkhas downed tools because of the way the Government has treated them, first of all eroding their terms of service, eradicating perks of the job, and then denying them the chance to settle in Britain after all that service. No different in principle to what Hunt is doing to OUR Jnr Doctors. Moving the goal posts so his muckers in the house of lords earn a fat wedge of cash when the NHS is so on its knees it goes Private, which will happen if Hunt is allowed to run unchecked and untethered as you seems to think he should be. Finally no you couldn't I have listened to both sides of the argument and made an informed opinion, and tried to back that up with insight and knowledge from the coal face. You on the other hand have read a front page from the Express, mail, Telegraph and looked no further than a read of the contract, that when explained to you, you belligerently and steadfastly refuse to accept. Are you a descendent of King Kanute ? Anyway I shall leave you alone now to enjoy your 2016 Jeremy Hunt Panini sticker album. P.S. You still have not counter argued one point the Junior doctor made, I have invited you to do so a number of times, you haven't, so that is why I made those comments about you being either to dim to reply, or you frankly just had no answer, other than to sabre rattle and repeat the same tired crap over and over again.

EXACTLY ONE DOCTOR in response to what he thought was wrong. By your assumption that no lives where at risk who are you kidding??? Of course lives were at risk if they were not... then maybe we do not need the young doctors on the picket lines if all hospitals coped without them! AS you know OR should know the matter has been sorted out due to pressure from several different directions. Mainly by Johanna Lumley who did a fine job I might add. Bless her. Where do you get the idea the NHS is being pushed to totally private from?? Parts have been privatised I admit, and that started with the Labour Government, but the parts that have been are now cash effective so SAVE parts of the NHS a wad of money. I have made an informed opinion not by reading the nationals as you have put I have listened to debates, read the contract in detail and made an informed opinion on the matter just as you have and we both have different ideas on it. Which is our prerogative and right. I steadfastly refuse to accept your opinion just because e you think you are right and quite rightly so. AS for King Canute, what comics do you read??? Which one did you get that from. I thought we were having a discussion on the strike not throwing insults around.

It was the letter you posted from that ONE doctor that I am discussing and to which you were stating I did not answer to your standards Mate so what is your gripe now...????? As I said stop taking the angry pills and start taking some happy ones instead!!

EXACTLY ONE DOCTOR in response to what he thought was wrong. Errrm thousands of them went on strike, or had you missed that. By your assumption that no lives where at risk who are you kidding??? Of course lives were at risk if they were not... then maybe we do not need the young doctors on the picket lines if all hospitals coped without them! Show me one statistic, one shred of proof, other than bollicks from Jeremy hunt himself, that proves that patient safety was at risk. I literally can not believe an actual grown adult believes this tripe you are peddling.
And how did she do that exactly ? by taking it laying down, no of course not, they went on marches raised awareness, gained majority public support and won their argument. No more or no less than the Jnr Dr's are trying to do. Where do you get the idea the NHS is being pushed to totally private from?? Parts have been privatised I admit, and that started with the Labour Government, but the parts that have been are now cash effective so SAVE parts of the NHS a wad of money. Errrm if some thing is no longer part of the NHS but a private entity, how can it be of benefit to the NHS, an organisation it is no longer part of. That my friend is nonsense. However if what you are saying is that Private health firms are taking NHS patients, then yes you are correct in that, However the fee's they charge the NHS for doing providing that service is astronomical, so again your theory that is "saves wads of money" is utterly devoid of any truth at all. Your choice and your entitled to it Norm. AS for King Canute, what comics do you read??? Which one did you get that from. I thought we were having a discussion on the strike not throwing insults around. King Canute was a 10th century king of France and Denmark, and was proverbially known to be a king who thought he could order the tide to stop from coming in. In other words to ignore obvious facts. Abuse ? I have made assumptions on your still unwavering ability to not tackle any of the points the one doctor made, yet you continue to rubbish my points without any substance what so ever. I have answered your side of the argument as I thought fit No you haven't! I have asked you to kindly question and counter argue what the good doctor has written about your precious, you have failed to do so at any time, but instead focus on some throw away comments I made about your ignoring any of the points the doctor made.
Ohhh now your mystic meg and can read my mind and make comment from Plymouth about what I may or may not have read, and I am not going by one Doctors letter, I'm going on the thousands up and down the country that agree with him, and have gone on strike. for the exact reasons he cited. I am not wrong and you are not wrong in our arguments so why look to prove you are right all the time??? I'm not trying to prove I am right, I am trying to make you see that Jeremy Hunt is a lying oily little weasel, whose sole aim is to destroy the NHS so him and his Tory bum boys in the lords can reap the benefits of the eventual privatisation of the greatest health system in the world. And for your information I have always voted Tory and been right of arc in the political spectrum, but this is one step to far, and reason enough for me to abandon my vote.

dannyh I know thousands went on strike and probably will again but your initial post was from one doctor to which you pressed and pressed me to answer even though I asked you to read the ACTUAL contract being proposed. You did not do this but continued to push me even further to prove YOUR point and ignore mine completely. This shows to me that you argument is coming from a very immature person who thinks he is being clever. You have a hatred for Jeremy Hunt for what reason that is for you, but not anywhere and I repeat not anywhere in my posts have I bulled him up or used his name to justify my thinking. You need to wind your kneck in and think hard before typing all the repeat stuff you do and pay attention to detail which I am am sure you were told to do in the Army. Your quote "I am trying to make you see that Jeremy Hunt is a lying oily little weasel, whose sole aim is to destroy the NHS so him and his Tory bum boys in the lords can reap the benefits of the eventual privatisation of the greatest health system in the world" is wasted on me as I do not believe for one minute that any government would ever try to do that let alone this one. The changes being made are to update the NHS and try and make it a seven day week service which I wholeheartedly agree with. With more doctors being recruited as is happening now and more nurses etc the NHS will be fantastic. What is killing the service at the moment is all the people coming into the country in their millions and who breed faster than you can wink that is what is overloading the system.

This is Jeremy giving his side of the story. Worth listening to.
Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link] |
