I don't believe I would like the type of people that would go to a cereal bar and think it's ok. A bit like Costa Coffee w@nkers. Corporate consuming idiots who don't mind being ripped off and help drag society down.

Well thank you for introducing me to a completely new experience - partially agreeing with you on something.

I would not like the type who eats at a 'cereal bar'. In fact, I would not allow them on my property. They to me are the type of skinny jean wearing, ironic glasses sporting and stupid big headphone donning morons that are turning the greatest nation in the World into a laughing stock.

If I was in charge of the country (and I am sure you all pray that will happen soon), I would bring back conscription for those types and make them crouch behind a wall in Helmand province for five years. That would make them think about what they have done and act as a warning to others who think about following this fashion for dressing & acting like a manicured buffoon.

With regards to Costa, I fail to see the issue. A cup of coffee is sold. When you want a cup of coffee and there is a Costa, you will use it. Most of us don't have the time to locate, or the access, a locally run, independent coffee shop selling Fairtrade coffee. Choosing Costa or Neros is part of the tapestry of City dwelling and working. Getting pretentious about it belies a detachment from reality, in my opinion.

The kind of people parodied in 'It's grim up North (London)' in Private Eye.

They need horsewhipping.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

It all gone to pot since the PC brigade started attacking public houses.

You need a public and a saloon bar, and this stuff doesn't happen. Less food and kids and more spit and sawdust, like the good old days..... smoking in both bars.

A packet of fags, a pint of wallop, and a pink gin for the Missus.

Pathetic. But then all Socialists oppose gentrification, not just anarchists. The same ones who move to these trendy areas, paying 15 quid to get in to a previously working class establishment such as a snooker hall, and wonder why it drives demand for a Foxtons and Waitrose

I don't. Reading was a f**king s**thole in the 70s and 80s, the gentrification of the 90s turned it around if you ask me. I'd like to see more done to turn s**ty estates and run down areas into nicer places to live, ideally driven by the local community, Council and business rather than corporate entities.

The only problem of gentrification is that it raises already ridiculous property prices, and squeezes people out. I'm not even sure what a 'traditional working class establishment' actually is anymore. The trade union club?

That said, who the f**k is going to Cereal bars? Sometimes I think I woke up and the world dropped acid while I was asleep.

Pretentious w***ers.

It is a true sign that the world has truly gone up its own arse when people are paying £3 plus for a bowl of f*cking Coco Pops from a pair of Hipster c*nt brothers....

And the local pub shouldn't sell premium brands of beer, wine or spirits?

Whats your point ?

That people should be able to eat and drink wherever they want, and whatever they want.

Yes they should, freedom of choice isn't it ?

It's also the gift of free speech that allows me to say that anyone who sits in a resturant for the sole purpose of eating cerial is a grade a ponce, who probably dons a male top knot, and has a beard.

It is also my freedom of speech that allows me to say how can you compare a pub to some one selling rice crispies at £4 a bowl.

Kids shouldn't be in pubs except on Match day (maybe). Food though is largely a bonus, but less 'Gastropub' please, if you want a proper dining experience go to a restaurant.

In fairness to the smug faced bearded hipster c**ts, they have a very broad selection of different cereals (around 120) as well as different milks and toppings.

Rice Crispies will set you back 3.50 for a large bowl. Unless you have a specialist milk and toppings. Its the US and World cereals that push up to the fiver, for a bowl. Some look quite tempting (Reece puffs?), but I can imagine that five minutes after entering I'd be up on murder charges...

This will also wind you up, they do cocktails. I guess there is a market of people who really like cereals.

I wouldn't mind so much If it were proper working class people protesting. The only problem? Well working class people were erm working. This is the usual bunch of middle class tossers you nearly always get at these sort of march's Oh & quelle surprise man of the people and haven't had a hit in 30 years singer & activist Billy Bragg was there.

I don't think billy braggs credentials can be called in to question , he has always been at various protests all his career and as for not having a " hit" I really don't think its his thing. its a pity more bands/artists don't nail there political colours to the mast as he has , they are a bunch of bed wetting , scared to harm their sales w***ers . music should be about protest , I don't think we have had any one coming out and saying what they think since the clash , very sad state of affairs

I don't believe I would like the type of people that would go to a cereal bar and think it's ok. A bit like Costa Coffee w@nkers. Corporate consuming idiots who don't mind being ripped off and help drag society down.

What about pizza and ice cream?

Pizza, whilst ridiculously expensive for what is a piece of bread and some tomato sauce, is just about forgivable even if it is £9.99 as I am guessing the majority don't know how to make a good one at home. Ice cream is pretty inexpensive in most places - £2 for four Magnums in a supermarket - so easy to avoid the traders marking it up to something stupid like £2.50 each or summat.

West country pizzas sound s***. Our's come with cheese and additional toppings. Two for Tuesday is a good deal too.

I bought a pack of Snickers ice cream recently, and inside I discovered I won another box. In the free box, I won another box.
