Makes sense to me. If I was investing in a club I would definitely prefer to have someone with a proven track record for sound financial management at the helm. I think the cost of the club including the stadium overhaul is the issue.

The Charlton owner Danish Dave is looking for investment rather than selling the club so far no luck. I am not surprised if I was pumping £20m into that club I would want him out due to his poor management.

Just throwing this out there:

If Steve Parish wasn't a shareholder (he gets ousted in the summer in a boardroom re shuffle) assuming that the reshuffle wasn't too bloody & brutal if the new majority shareholder(s) wanted Steve to stay on as CEO to oversee the day to day running of the club, albeit in line with their broad strokes instructions, do you think he would consider it ?

(Given that the main shareholders could possibly be USA based & not want to have the hassle of the day to day running & presumably factoring in that the broad strokes instructions weren't too outlandish) obviously that's a lot of factoring, lol

You dont think Palace are capable of getting 4 wins against that lot? Regardless of current form (which will not last forever) there is a reason most of them are below us.

35 pts. Can't see more than 1 win in current form. will 35 be enough when we can't even general shots on goal? eek

I personally think 35pts is not going to be enough to survive this year. Based on average current points per game, including last week ends results. The bottom, come end of May could be: Soton 32, Leeds 34, Everton, Leics, WH, Bournemouth (all 35pts, so goal difference will be important), Notts Forrest, Wolves (both 3 and last but not least CP 39 pts.

I don't think even up to 37 may suffice.

Plus side is we're playing teams below us, the negative of that is if we don't pick up points they therefore do.

My being absolutely wants to scream 'Get PV out, we can't even fashion chances let alone score, staggeringly long run without a win, lowest work rate, players look deflated and clueless, 3 games in a row without an effort on target, can't score from open play, picking same duds, tactically clueless etc. etc.' however I am struggling to truly, truly believe we won't get at least 2 wins if not 3 or more and quite a few draws.

We should be safe but it's precarious to say the least and not at all guaranteed, with little to hang your hat on in terms of evidence for positives or belief.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We are in terrible form at the moment and can see a reluctance to shoot on goal also in the next two games. Beyond that hopefully the team will buck up their ideas. Our form at the moment is that of a relegation side.

I done a brief calculation and looked at previous league tables over last few years plus who the teams play in the run in and although it’s so incredibly tight at the bottom and the teams in the bottom 3 have more points than usual for this time of season I believe 36 points will be enough still
And I think we will get that with relative ease starting with 3 tomorrow

Into em boys!

Our manager doesn’t get the most from our players and they show no passion. This is another reason for not selling players for big profits. Plus our scouting is basic, as usual.

you could just say 'we're s***...'

Personally I think you're talking complete rubbish but time will tell I suppose.

Yes it really does, I’m seriously thinking that we are going to do Brighton tomorrow then go on a run , everyone including myself gets lost in emotion after our run but it has been extremely difficult set of fixtures , I’m quietly confident about tomorrow

Even taking into consideration current form, which surely must improve soon, we should be able to muster 39 Pts, which hopefully will see us safe for another year!
