We have long-term sickness and many leaving the jobs market retiring early, to add to our labour shortage caused mainly by leaving the EU. We actually need migrants and without them our economy cannot grow. TB said he had to do it, foreign workers are not an add-on but a necessity.

Probably correct, but two things: 1.Why do we need more housing, when the 2 million EU nationals that we were told would leave the country if we voted Brexit, if they presumably weren't all living in tents in a field somewhere. 2.Why should those who decide to enter the country illegally take preference over those that enter for work via the approved channels? Thanks Spider. So they never have the £2-3000 to pay the smugglers to start with and presumably have to ‘earn’ that in the UK so that they can pay them back. Anybody know how Denmark are getting on with their processing centre in Rwanda? Your first paragraph is correct. Also you have to pay up front for a visa application, if it is refused, no refund.

TB did not stop at workers though did he? We were “encouraged” to be lenient when issuing student visas, marriage visa to promote a diverse population.

I borrowed this from the BBS, they are all in mourning which makes a change as they usually find something to celebrate. "This is what we can’t see regardless of anyone's view on immigration, this is an empty boat that was far to far out for people to have been able to swim for it and survive and it had not gone back to sea at high tide. I took this photo on Sunday from the golf club and who knows what happened to the poor souls inside it. It’s unlikely to have been brought by current."
