From what I can make out, then in the wider geopolitical game, Washington sees both Warsaw and Budapest as stronger allies against the Russians than either Berlin or Paris. Or certainly more reliable/pliable.

And with the major gas pipe lines crossing the territory of this 3SI nations...

'Budapest' has it's strongest ally in China.

How the Chinese investment in the region pans out is an interesting one.

Take a look at Montenegro recently for an example of how that can go pear-shaped.

Let's see, you are pro China and "Orban is in bed with with China" so what are your thoughts on Hungary?

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

‘A #Brexit reminder: The Northern Ireland Protocol was negotiated by the UK government. It was signed by the UK government. It was ratified by the UK Parliament. Its consequences were known.

Is it too much to expect the UK to stand by what it has negotiated, signed and ratified?’

Bojo is such a peenarse. And insanely obvious. Blither bluster your way to an agreement because you had to by the arbitrary deadline you set, wave some complex s*** though by making some dross up on the back of a napkin at the 11th hour and then a couple of years later turn round, lean in with that seducing gaze and whiskey breath that’s worked so well throughout his wick dipping past and slur the words ‘er ber der now come on then arse, farce, I mean arse TITS! Ursula - gis us a tweak of yer nipples, eh? We both know we just had to get a deal done - now can we do the real deal? Preferably at your place not mine, nudge nudge, wink SLAP

t***.

It just gets better.

'The UK government is telling councils to display EU flags across towns and cities in England as a condition for receiving high street Covid recovery cash'.

The requirement, which will see thousands of new EU flags posted on official buildings and in public places across the country, exists because the European Regional Development Fund has given money to the UK to help with the Covid-19 reopening.

Really a laughing stock.

It's OK, Rees-Mogg has the flag contract.

I'm putting EU stickers on all the doors right away, I don't want to offend leavers.

Warburton’s 2016:

"Brexit is a very good thing to have happened. We are well out of the rotting corpse of Europe”

Warburton's July 2021:

Sorry for the shortage of bread, we don't have enough drivers to deliver bread nationwide, many have gone back to the EU.

Not quite the best thing since sliced bread, is it?

Oh no. Cancel Brexit because Steeleye has no backbone.

The contrary part of me is tempted to start arguing for rejoining the EU just for the challenge of it because those who are supposedly Brussels fan-boys are so utterly, utterly s*** at making a case for it.

Its just tedious to hear or read them. Nothing original to offer beyond a mind numbing churlishness that seems to stem from their inability to accept that Brexit happened and no amount of pathetic attempts at 'told you so' is going to shift anybody.

Tell us why the EU is the future. Why we should be trying to ensure that we remain as closely aligned with it as possible, why our future has to be about putting us on course to rejoin one day and why that should be the sooner than better? Why we should be signing up for the euro, why the Scheglen agreement is crucial to the EU's future. And so on and on.

But whatever you choose to do, at least up your game. Its getting beyond tedious now.

I don’t think there is an obvious short term case. It’s done now. As we’re seeing with NI I think a lot of what we’ve now signed up for instead will just become more obvious over time as ‘fear’ becomes ‘reality’ and the case for rejoining will become more obvious (dependant on the direction of travel of the EU over the same period).
