Religious freedoms go as far as the law allows. Always have. Being called ignorant by someone representing religion is a funny concept.

Debt is relative but being the largest trading bloc in the world, the EU is in a much better place to service any debt it has. Still, it's irrelevant to the original posting about how Ireland is being helped by the EU covid recovery fund, which is helping every EU country to open up their economies bringing in revenue. To be quite honest with you there's a groundswell of anti EU in Ireland. EU imposed austerity really stripped services to the bone. Currently a housing crisis of epic proportions and the government lockdowns are increasingly long and unpopular. Dealing with Covid has not happened.

When the plug is pulled all the same people will be left struggling in the slipstream....and it won't be the bankers who 'print' the money. All that will differ between us is the size of that debt slipstream. Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Jul 2021 10.33am) The important thing is what the money will be used for, the borrowers are signed up to deliver the green revolution and digital transformation securing the future for the next generation. We won't have anything like that here.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Lefties are just sheltering under a 'Green' banner. Once you get any serious discussion between the two groups, it all soon falls to pieces. Real Greens are complete f***ing lunatics. See people as a virus and want massive depopulation. Ignore all that cuddly bollocks, the real nutters in the game.

Yep, a bit like the original Greenpeace.....what started as having some points morphed into a dystopian monster like the rest of the movement.

The main fear for Extinction Rebellion protestors is that Waitrose will run out of goat's cheese and prosecco..... Andrew Neil had an interesting interview on GBN with the now ousted ex leader who of ER was a serious nutter who had his own science, 6 billion people will die because of " climate change " by 2050 etc. I don't think the ice age was caused by the actions of humans and that was a fairly drastic change in climate Originally posted by Stirlingsays
