Decisive action by Mr Parish.

We weren't in the bottom three when Pardew was removed of his duties but we had lost 8 of our previous 10 games.
Had Allardyce not been available would Pardew have been given more time ?

Absolutely. The quick turn around showed that Allardyce had been interviewed and appointed prior to Pardew being sacked.

The deal to poach Pardew from Newcastle had all been agreed prior to Warnocks sacking too.

I'd hope they are taking a similar approach to the long term replacement door Hodgson too.

Apparently West Ham are after Sakho which is good news as most West Ham fans seem to be black taxi drivers, so when I say "Taxi for Mr Sakho" they'll be plenty of offers.

Allardyce imo makes shrewd signings. He will do the same for WBA too if they back him financially. Sakho would be a good buy, although I’m not convinced he would want to go there. This is probably his last move so I would of thought he would prefer to head closer to home.

Allardyce makes shrewd signings because he knows what he wants from a player, and by a large will get players who are undervalued by teams because they do the safe dependable things he wants them to do. Creative players and flair players come at premium because everyone wants a player who can unlock defences or score goals but Allardyce isn't really going to be in for them. His interview on MOTD shows what he wants tighten up and make them hard to beat.

In his 4 games in charge they have conceded 13 goals.

Amongst the 6 games before he took over they only conceded 1 goal against Tottenham, 1 against Man Utd,1 against Man C and 2 against Newcastle.
Admittedly they lost 5-1 to us but they were down to 10 men!

Big Sam is already blaming Brexit sounds like he wants 3 cheap EU imports and was told they don't qualify.

Hopefully this is the start of giving more British based players a chance in the PL.

No surprise he wants a CB, CM and a striker what he gets well we will see.

Yes they have, which is exactly why he will want to make defensive signings. I think he is currently having a few problems trying to polish turds.

Have to be 100% completely honest, when I read this thread I suddenly realised that I had completely forgotten that Sakho was in the squad. When thinking about our central defence issue with injuries, he didn't even come up in my thinking and seems that Roy might be thinking the same.

He was great for us when we needed him many moons ago and for that I say thanks, but it is time for him to move on. Some of his mistakes in recent times have cost us games and the majority completely avoidable.

So I say, thank you Sakho for the work you've done, but time to say goodbye.

The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots

It wasnt just losing 8 of our last 10 I think the figures were actually 3 wins in 32 games when Pardew was sacked. The FA Cup final just papered over the cracks. It was the right decision no doubt.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Ah ok.. I wasn't far off then. Still a pretty shocking record. Remember that story in the press about a Prem manager that was texting his bit on the side whilst training but he never got named??

APPARENTLY that was him... And I wouldn't of been surprised..

I think he'll be off in the summer. Another chunk of the wage Bill freed up?
