"I'd like to see him at Arsenal and see how much they improve with him causing mayhem." Yes you are correct, it is. I was overwhelmed with joy when Ian Wright joined them too. Nah, not really, we all know what happened next. Sadly our differing opinions of our manager seem to be influencing your reactions to my post.

I don’t, I’d rather see him to PSG or Bayern. I don’t want him playing against us and I definitely don’t want him at the gooners although it is his most likely destination. Edited by Eaglecoops (11 Dec 2020 7.20am) Yes if he goes it will be and I was writing as such because that is his wish.

In what way do you see Arsenal as one of our biggest rivals apart from the fact that they play in the same league? Every team in this division are our rivals. Arsenal are one of our biggest. The point I was making is that it is absolutely shocking for our so called fans to wish away their best player to any other team. Why oh why does that make sense to want that? Fans who would happily sit down to watch Zaha play for another club and wish him well while he does it? Madness absolute madness! I can’t imagine Spurs fans ever say they would love to see Kane play for Liverpool because he deserves to win trophy’s. Fans do not wish away their best players!

It's out of our hands isn't it, I think you're misunderstanding fans views, I and nobody else wants him to leave of course we don't but the real point is he wants to go and so in my opinion he should go where he would like to go which is Arsenal, surely you understand.

I think from a fans' perspective the issue with Zaha is that his heart no longer seems to be here. This season he has acted very professionally and is back on form, but gone are the badge kissing days and ecstatic smiles. It is not quite the same when he scores and then has a moody glare. Maybe once fans return he will look happier again, but I'm not so sure. He makes us a much better team and there have been signs of a blossoming relationship with Eze, but Arsenal's struggles combined with his return to form just feels like the stars are aligning. In an ideal world we will amaze people and win a chunk of our remaining games for 2020 and he may see a chance of Europe with us. It is the time of the year for miracles after all.

Arsenal are unlikely to qualify for Europe this season and whilst Wilf's stated objective is Champions League football his unstated objective is £200,000 per week in wages and the number of clubs willing to offer him both is miniscule

sorry folks, i started this thread to focus on Palace and keeping US successful. the fortunes, why's wherefores and whatnot of the other fella is a different topic for a different thread. we have looked bang-average without Wilfried, how will we be fixing that ? one approach is some fresh legs in Wilf's role, alternatively we could strengthen the role's around the rest of the squad ? and change our formation ? we will be getting some money for him.....spend it on one excellent signing or on a number of very good signings ? If they pay Ozil 300k to sit on the bench, I presume they can pay Wilf 200k to play.

Ozil is a textbook example of what can happen if you import an expensive cast-off from a glory-club. he has mentally lost it due to a perceived demotion in status and still needing to play tough games against some unglamorous sides. hungry ambition is always better than older fellas looking for a quiet retirement. whoever comes in for Zaha should be aged under 28.

Don’t underestimate Zaha. He’s still our best and gets the whole team geed up. Looks like he’s starting to enjoy himself again.
