You are right though, bonfires aren't good for the environment, although we still burn a lot of wood in our logburners here. I think the occasional one for a special occasion can be forgiven, especially when it discourages pests.

My earliest palace memory was when my dad took me to a game when I was 5 in 1993 against Oxford ! We won 2-1 Chris Armstrong scored twice .
That season we were promoted and and 6 years old I couldn’t contain my excitement to play Liverpool first game of season! My optimism was very quickly destroyed as I saw us get heavily beat 6-1 at home first game of season. From then on I learnt never to expect too much. We are the underdog, always will be , don’t forget our team that was promoted in 2013 was favourite to be relegated to league 1 and first season in Orem after 4 games we were 1-16 to be relegated !

Explain that remark. Having lived in Cornwall for 25 years they are no stranger than anyone from outside Cornwall. At least we are in Tier 1 because we kept mainly to the rules unlike the arrogant so and so's elsewhere who think it's clever to carry on as if it doesn't affect them.
