It forms part of my overall reaction to the lousy proposition that Palace have put in front of me. Parish himself said that the very future of football was a stake when he was a major voice of Project Restart. One of his concerns was that people would not come back to football when eventually things get back to some sort of normal. Well, he's contributing to the problem with this season ticket policy. So I'm illiterate and naive according to two of you

Will they pay me 6% for having my money for a year if I pay in full upfront and don't get what I paid for ? If they did I'd offer to buy anyones ticket who didn't want to renew, as it would be a better investment rate than I could get at any bank.

Exactly....all fvcking one way. I’m out (for the time being)!! I’ve got to admit, the dull games and lack of goals in recent years has made my decision a lot easier, it’s been a chor for a long time now. Money’s not an issue for me, but it is ridiculous getting everyone to pay up front for something they might not get

What about all the years it has been interest free over 12 months. Find another club that allowed that for its fans. There May be others but not many I would guess. Most want it all or charged interest. Any other year if interest was charged you wouldn't bat an eyelid I reckon.

Let's see how it pans out for other clubs with their process. On paper it all looks great and fair. At least you know where you are with this particular way of doing it. I sense this isnt about the money for many; more a principle. Fair enough but who's to say by feb/march we wont be back up as normal. Then you will be paying top dollar for single games.

In your opinion it’s fair. And you could get tickets when you’d rather have had them another time. I highly doubt there will be 26,000 going to Selhurst or 60,000-75,000 going to the top 5 grounds next season. We’ll be coming out of cold and flu season in March and April and with all the problems that’s going to throw up and the government narrative and rut it’s got itself in with the rest of the western governments. February you can forget it. No chance. If they accepted immunity we’d be on the way. Unfortunately they think they can reduce the amount of deaths (positive cases now mostly FFS) with no idea of how long that might be. And there’s one big problem connected to all this. The tests do give positive results from fragments left over from a dose of Covid for 6 months. Brilliant.

You could only opt pay by instalments after the ‘early bird’ prices finished and tickets increased by 10% so in the 500 ticket became 550 .. All in all 6% is a better deal or would be if was for a full St not a couple of games.

Ok I stand corrected but I couldnt have afforded a lump payment a few years ago so was ok to pay a bit more over a longer period. Early bird is pretty standard for clubs so that is how it is.

I said it's fair enough that at least you know where you stand. Its black and white.

So I'm illiterate and naive according to two of you The season ticket issue is not about whether the policy is black or white or transparent, it's about whether it's fair. It may suit you - that's fine. It doesn't suit me, and it would seem from the responses on here, it doesn't suit a lot of other people as well. While I understand the financial implications to football clubs, the football clubs need to understand that a vast number of people have also been disadvantaged by Covid . Other clubs have found a more equitable solution and they are as transparent as you claim Palace's to be, and I wouldn't describe them as '' wishy washy '' either. But I would call them fair.
