Yeah, just start again when we can and finish this season, then go straight in to another, and the money issue can be sorted later, players can wait for their wages, give them half now, half later, it2s not that hard surely, Failing that., if we use the 6 bottom teams grounds for there home games behind closed doors, then we just need 4 more grounds!

A good answer in my humble opinion.

I thank you! That"s sorted then, we wait and finish season in proper fashion, and just play catch up with next season, even if that incurs a few more midweek games.Any footballers that don"t want to play ball, can do one, but why would they? All clubs stick together, and pay them there money when tv money filters in again, half now/half later, simples,,,,,,

Can you realistically see next season starting with any spectators? IMO there is zero chance of this season being completed .. project restart is as coherent as Boris was tonight. Stay alert , stay home, go to work , don’t use public transport, bigger fines .. piss up in a brewery.. doh sorry no piss up until maybe July in a beer garden

Haven't UEFA set a May 25th deadline for nations to decide what they will do with the leagues so they can organis all the European stuff as suggested above ?

I think all the teams want to try and finish but have their own agenda include ours admittedly!

Wouldn't it make more sense for UEFA to cancel all the European stuff for one year, and give the nations time to sort themselves out first?

Oh no, can't be done...... it would pi** L'pool off too much.

It sounds unbelievable doesn’t it? But it’s no different to the Prem being worried about lawsuits and loss of revenue and sponsors.

I suppose that would make sense but money talks!

The Euros are set in stone now so teams will have to finish next season by May too..

Maybe, even some of the sponsors would be glad not to have to pay out this year..........lawyers? yeh, they'll always want their pound of flesh

Being reported that a Brighton player has tested positive for the virus. Really difficult to see how a contact sport can restart any time soon. What's going to happen to marking 'touch tight' at corners and free kicks? In addition to zonal marking and man-to-man will we now have socially distanced marking?

The government is 'encouraging' those that can't work from home to return to work, so maybe that might influence things. Footballers should be better equipped health wise to cope with the virus than most, they work outside, plus I doubt many rely on public transport. There is seemingly going to be a risk until a vaccine is introduced and given footballers make up a tiny fraction of the working population I don't see them as a big risk, unlike the thousands of factory workers, for example, that are essentially being pushed back into work. If they don't restart the football leagues then it will reflect badly on the government as it would suggest that project restart is not for everyone. Personally I think things will resume in some form or another in June.
