If you want an outside bet, the current bottom 3 could well fall through the trapdoor. It’s that close outside the big six

I think Sheffield Utd will go due to lack of quality over the course of the season. Newcastle because they just look in turmoil. Brighton, their new style of football will get them in trouble.

A weaker squad indeed. We had a team that couldn't score goals last season and it looks like they will continue to scamper around with nothing productive happening in the final third. Only two games in and I'm already throwing in my towel. What a waste of time and money. Delighted and of course surprised we scored a brace at Man Utd but I fear we will struggle to score for obvious reasons and while we can rejoice at yesterday’s result a dearth of goals over the season could prove our downfall.

The table currently states that there are 10 worse teams... Keep the faith.

Their defence cannot make the transition from sitting back and playing anti football into piling pressure on the oppo or end to end open games. Too early to tell because they may have no draws but enough wins, but the premier league spot a weakness and their CB’s when they’re attacking are it. I agree on Newcastle and Sheff Utd being stretched. They played out of their skins vs us, plus we were terrible. After we beat united they can’t understand it all. They’ll be found out a bit as well.

I will stick with my 3 to go down. Villa will be propping the division up by Christmas. Their team resembles nothing like the one that got them promoted. Did they not see what Fulham tried to do? The Villa manager will be making more excuses than he did last night on MOTD. They are doomed...

I think this could be a very tight league this year. Everyone outside of Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester could go down. I have seen nothing from Everton, Wolves, to suggest they are any better than they were last year, in fact Everton look worse, so I'm not going to rule them out of getting themselves into trouble. It's quite interesting that there are no teams after 4 matches with zero points and only one team without a win. Come Christmas this could be very tight in the bottom half of the league. I'm going to go for: Villa, Norwich, Brighton

Revisiting this now, have people's opinions changed? Obviously most of us called Sheffield Utd wrong, but aside from that there probably aren't any huge surprises. I originally said Norwich, Newcastle and Bournemouth. Having watched Bournemouth yesterday I'm sticking with them and Norwich, but Newcastle, like us, seem capable of clawing themselves over the line through luck and no concern about entertainment and so I now think they'll be fine and so will we. I'm going to throw Villa under the bus just because I don't think they have the attacking resources of Brighton, the fight of Watford or the quality of West Ham.

Hah, ask me in 4 games time and if we haven't won a couple of those games I shall be including Palace in my three. Otherwise I'm happy to stick with my selections, Norwich, Villa, Brighton

Worse than us I see Norwich, Watford, Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton, and at the same level of us I see Burnley and Newcastle.

I said Norwich, Newcastle and Brighton, so not too good,
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Brighton are in serious trouble. In their last 4 games have just played 4 teams below them in the table and failed to win 1 game. They now have a much tougher run of games and very diificult run in. Couple that with the fact that Potter is now panicing and playing Murray up front and changing his team and tactics every week. Our situation is not great but right now I would take ours over theirs. Hodgson's experience will see us through. Norwich, West Ham, Brighton are my teams to go down.
