Well we’ll see on 5th June won’t we, when Palace will be evicted from the league, when all your pant wetting and hysteria will or will not come to the surface. it looks like it will be resolved very soon, but in any case they have 2 months to resolve beyond the first gazette so closing on 5th June is never going to happen you can't really think that this is a non story when it is appearing on the BBC sports pages - it should never have got this far

BBC reporting that they are late due to a "technical issue" and they will be filed in the coming days. Fuss over nothing. They'll pay the £500 fine and move on. Hopefully we can make a signing before the fixtures come out so we have something more positive to talk about!

No one has said that Palace "will be evicted from the league" on 5 June. That is the date upon which a striking off notice will be published. These have already been placed in the records of the three companies identified by NickinOX: CPFC Selhurst Park Ltd CPFC Ltd CPFC 2010 Ltd We have two months from that date to rectify the position. I'm assuming that we will be doing so.

Our accounts needed to be with the PL by 1 March: E.3. Each Club shall by 1 March in each Season, submit to the Board a copy of its annual accounts in respect of its most recent financial year or if the Club considers it appropriate or the Board so requests the Group Accounts of the Group of which it is a member (in either case such accounts to be prepared and audited in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements) together with a copy of the directors’ report for that year and a copy of the auditors’ report on those accounts. Page 113 of the PL Handbook (for anyone who likes a good read!): Let's hope that the "technical issue" isn't a major concern to the PL, otherwise this transfer window could be very thin gravy indeed.

I don't claim to know exactly what this means. However, you seem to be equating the Company's House information with a failure to file with the PL. Do you have any evidence that the club failed to file the required documents with the PL? If not, why do you imply that part is the issue. Second, on the government's own web page discussing what a strike off might mean: Again, we simply don't know if this is an actual problem or whether it is part of a restructuring (which seems a reasonable guess given that all of the companies related to the club have the same notice to be struck off, and that appears to be one of the main reasons to do that), or something else. Given that previous years accounts have shown few, if any, real problems I suspect (based upon the typical reasons cited in the government's guidance linked above) that the club is restructuring. However, I don't know that and neither do you. Despite that fact, and it is a fact that neither of us actually knows, you seem intent on making mountains out of every single mole hill. Of course, it is reasonable to ask the question in the first place, but it does not seem reasonable to jump to conclusions without real evidence.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

From BBC.com. Why it came to this is beyond me. After all, the first law of bureaucracy is, "No job is finished until the paper work is done."
