How many of that two million are actually violent or into other anti-social misdemeanours? 10 per cent? 20?

Treat as you find. Even if living in an area where the crime committed is disproportionately by those of a certain ethnic background as the vast majority from that same background are not villains. Just normal folk going about their day.

Suggest you meet some 'blacks' and ask them what is important to them and their community.

You will find that the black community is the highest attendees of church services in the uk, has a strong moral backbone and places family at the core of its existence.

Your sentiment is very fair minded but it is not born out by statistics. Despite black people only representing 2 or 3% of the population officially, knife crime/street crime is something like twice as likely to be committed by a black person. This is a reality. So 97% of the population commit half the knife crime than 3% roughly speaking.
So when people are making a judgment about who is likely to commit crime that will be in their minds. That is not racism, that is self preservation and I apologise to any that may offend.
