I have Parkinson's disease which is slowly taking hold and affecting my mobility, balance, ability to swallow, joints are seizing up etc.

I hope something comes along to curtail my longevity as my life will eventually become a living hell.

I'm too scared for the Dignitas solution right now though.

Not a lot I can say about that Hoof, except so sorry to hear about it mate.
I know where you are coming from though.
I had a tumor removed from my bladder in january, had chemo, and now have regular monitoring.
It hasn`t come back yet, but the chances are it may well do. If it does, and I am incapacitated, I don`t know if I could take the Dignitas route either.

Like you, in the mean time I`m not going to sit around moping and worrying about it.
Recently retired, having a ball, and making light of things.
And besides, we can`t leave yet. We have to see this Palace thing through!

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]

Epicurus said of death:

"Death does not concern us, because as long as we exist, death is not here. And when it does come, we no longer exist".

The nature of our death is another matter. Not something I like to dwell on really.

I like that quote.

I also like this one from Woody Allen: "I'm not afraid to die, I just don't want to be there when it happens."

Sorry to hear about this Hoof. I've only just caught up.

Mandy Blunden would never have stuck by you like your Missus. Did well to swerve her at Carshalton all those years back.

As for the question, hope it's not like my old Grandad, who died in a concentration camp. He fell out of a Watchtower.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I will die defending Buckingham Palace from hordes of vegan revolutionaries who are attempting treason on Her Majesty after Corbyn gets removed as leader of the Labour Party by Dan Jarvis.

Yep - haven't felt this good about Palace since Wright/Bright and before that Team of the 80's.

Maybe this will hit me when this Palace bubble bursts.

Good luck with your tumour mate.
