Todays first download is a great sounding bootleg by guitar legend Rory Gallagher which was recorded at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis in March 1991. This is in superb quality and is a wicked set by the check shirted wizard. This guy rocks big time and puts on a great show... I've posted a few bootlegs by Rory in the past - but this is the first complete show. The Guthrie Theater is a small venue and is a perfect venue to see and hear Rory close up... this is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a set by Portishead which was recorded at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival California 2008. This is in superb quality - the audio has been taken from a webcast audio rip. Some great tracks on this one - thoroughly recommended.... Todays extra download is the first that I've posted by this artist. The artist is John Waite and he was a member of The Babys in the 70's. This is a solo performance which took place in Detroit, Michigan in 1984 on the "No Brakes" tour. This show was recorded by the famous King Biscuit Flower Hour radio show and sounds great. Todays first download is a set by old slowhand himself, Eric Clapton. This was recorded in Japan in 1985 and is in superb quality. A crackin' set which includes a good selection of his work - featuring classics like "White Room" "Wonderful Tonight" and finishing with the classic "Layla"... yet another top performance and bootleg by EC - thoroughly recommended.... Todays second download is a set by Savoy Brown which was recorded in Denver, Colorado in 1980. This is in superb quality and is a much better set than the bootleg in Cleveland 1980 that I posted no so long ago. Most of the songs on this boot were never recorded in the studio, so they are quite rare. Some excellent blues/rock on this boot which is thoroughly recommended.... Todays extra download is a set by Y&T which was recorded in Salinas, California in October 1983. This is in superb quality and is widely acknowledged to be the best sounding Y&T bootleg available. The audio is from an FM Broadcast that was recorded by the BBC. The gig was part of the bands "Mean Streak" tour of 1983. A crackin' sounding bootleg and one for any fans of this band.... this is thoroughly recommended.... Afternoon staffie Do you remember when CD's first came out how they tried to tell us they were indestructable and you could spread jam etc on them and they would still play. Well it was all lies.
