Lampard would be exciting but it could go either way, you'd be ultra confident Dyche would keep us up and I think we'd be pleasantly surprised by his brand of football, as we were with Pulis and Big Sam, some managers can be unfairly stereotyped.

Totally agree that Dyche has great experience and has more than proved himself at this level whereas Frank is perhaps, lacking in experience and represents a greater risk.

Im warming to the idea of Frank. If we clear out some dead wood we may be able to attract some young talent with him at the helm.
Just because it went wrong with the last Frank doesnt mean we should stop dreaming of exciting football.

Hopefully would get help from his uncle.

Frank's a gamble... one I want to take?? I don't think he will take us down... but can we play better and finish the same position... I will see that as an improvement, however, I don't think he has the experience....

I want Dyche to be honest - build around Eze

The arrival of Lampard would bring an new wave of much needed excitement to the club and, according to the article, he’s have some money to rebuild as well as bring in some quality loans. I like the sound of this, in particular the mention of Billy Gilmour and Tammy Abraham (almost certain that wouldn’t happen though).

The more I think about Lampard joining, the more appealing it is. Proven success at integrating young players into the fold which is exactly what we need.

Gilmour I would take in a heartbeat, but presumably only a loan (unless Tuchel ) doesn’t rate him. Abraham would be fantastic but at the £40m Chelsea want not sure he is a priority. I assume Chelsea would want big money for Gilmour as well

This is Frank de Boer all over again. We sign a manager with a good reputation but we have no money allegedly (in FdB's case it was after the deadline). Not saying no to this Frank but please use logic. To me it has to be Dyche if we can afford him and he wants to come.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Curious logic there. If we have no money then we have no money whoever takes over as manager which makes it far less attractive to people like Dyche who already have a job and won't want a sideways step to a club that is skint with dad's army for a squad

Doesn’t seem likely that Howe is coming now so Lampard would be the next best choice. His lack of experience would concern me though. He hasn’t had to deal with being at a club who’s main goal is not being in the bottom three at the end of the season but anything’s better than Roy.

Think Frank would e a good choice. Don't think Dyche would be interested- missed that boat a long time ago.

Our most successful manager had less experience than Frank.

Abraham would be worth getting at 40m - lots of Chelski fans don't think he is good enough and rather persevere with Werner

Not when you only have £50m ( allegedly) and we need at least 1 CB, 2 midfielders 1 Right sided forward and possibly another striker.
Can see Brighton wanting Abraham but they would have to sell first

It feels like the most exciting thing about Lampard would be his potential to attract some of Chelsea's players, a bit like how getting Mount on loan at Derby was key to his relative success there. If he came and say brought in Abraham and Zouma then we'd instantly be a better team. Is that likely though?

I do think that if we are replacing Roy we must have a transfer kitty of some sort or why bother replacing him. Some large companies do very well by spending when everyone else is looking to save as it is a buyer's market. It may be that Parish sees it that way too having run a tight ship for the last four years. I think it could be an opportunity to get some cut-price deals, so maybe somewhat contradicting myself the likes of Abraham and Zouma are not beyond us?

We live in interesting times!
