The bookies are just having a laugh with most of this stuff. Now Graham Potter is identified as a candidate for the Spurs job. Surely not. What are the odds on our taking Scott Parker who is now being touted as the next management hot property? I have just perused that Steve Coppell is one of the favourites for the Walsall job!

On his way to Celtic according to Talksport - it is now a done deal. If the press is to be believed, it must be pretty galling for Celtic fans that it seems Howe is only going there because he didn't get a PL offer. Not sure he would have been the right fit for us, so not that bothered, although it would have been interesting to see what he would have done. Dyche publicly calling out the new owners of Burnley after they beat Fulham makes it clear he is not a happy bunny. If the compensation package was manageable he must be up there in Parish's thoughts. Ismael is surely too big a risk? Clinton has said he expects Roy to leave, and he is someone who is in contact with the Palace players, so if anyone outside the club is going to have an idea you would imagine he would. As an aside, I wish Clinton would be a pundit for all of our games as he gives genuine insight and actually loves the club.

Former Manchester United and England winger Steve Coppell - the 65-year-old former Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Reading boss - is currently a short-priced favourite with bookmakers to fill the managerial vacancy. Coppell, whose last English managerial role ended prematurely at Bristol City in August 2010, worked at Palace with Walsall technical director Jamie Fullarton, who was appointed in April. The 2021-22 campaign will be the Saddlers' third back in the EFL's bottom tier, following relegation from League One in 2019.

Lots of sites now predicting Frankie boy as 'firm favourite' This one, saying we/he will have a £50m war chest? Where did that come from? Edited by eagleman13 (12 May 2021 5.44pm)
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Written by Matt Law who’s widely respected and well connected. The arrival of Lampard would bring an new wave of much needed excitement to the club and, according to the article, he’s have some money to rebuild as well as bring in some quality loans. I like the sound of this, in particular the mention of Billy Gilmour and Tammy Abraham (almost certain that wouldn’t happen though). The more I think about Lampard joining, the more appealing it is. Proven success at integrating young players into the fold which is exactly what we need.

Yep looks like the proverbial “cat is out of the bag” - not sure how SP and RH will feel about this, but LBH been the most likely outcome/scenario for weeks...!! If this is true, as much I have been in the “Roy Out” camp, I hope we will retain RH in some capacity - for me get shot of DF and replace him with Roy..!! Then let Frank and Roy work together. COYP

Interestingly, I am in Athens and Olympiacos, who get the title this evening, their fans telling me that we after their manager Pedro Martens strongly; can we leave him stay and go after a coach who's out of a job. They gave me a long list, none of whom really got me interested. Is there any truth in it? Must be something in it for to be news, but would be normal for a Premier league club who may want a new manager to sound out potential candidates. He's an interesting shout; better than "Fat Frank" ? I will see if anything more said tomorrow; parties do lead to loose lips etc.

I am just keeping my fingers crossed that we go all out for Dyche. He has well and truly earned his stripes at Burnley and for us at this point in time is by far the best fit imo. What he has done with such a small budget at an unfashionable club should give us all the confidence we need. His ambition and attitude would be a breath of fresh air for our lot. Lampard is an unknown quantity - the wealth of riches at his disposal at Chelsea is a completely different kettle of fish to the job in hand at Palace. Tuchel has totally transformed the same group of players- which does raise question marks over why Lampard couldn’t do the same. Obviously I’ll get behind him if it’s Lampard- I’ll just have to look harder for the positives!

Lampard would be exciting but it could go either way, you'd be ultra confident Dyche would keep us up and I think we'd be pleasantly surprised by his brand of football, as we were with Pulis and Big Sam, some managers can be unfairly stereotyped.
