I can see him ending up at Stoke, would fit what their owner looks for.

Everyone starts somewhere. It's more to do with how good you are than how experienced you are. As I've already said - Coppell, by everyone's argument here, we would never have had him. We would have had Peter Taylor instead, forever, judging by some comments.

Coppell was a big risk that very nearly did not pay off. We were nearly relegated to the third tier when he came in. Plus Noades turned to Coppell because there was really hardly any other options.
We are a Premiership team in the top 12 teams in the country. We have hundreds of options. Why go for a flash in the pan who has never worked at this level?

I'm not saying we have to, but everyone now seems to advocating what are basically has beens. I suppose people do realise that the managerial greats all actually started somewhere - usually having instant success. However, we will advocate for average and aim for average.
The bottom line is we've survived this season. Roy is part of that and deserves our thanks. But he also deserves to go in the off season. One reason will be an awful run in, just like last season. Basically, common sense tells us we're not going to luck out these games next season. Nobody's luck lasts forever. It isn't sustainable to offer as little threat going forward as we do. If Roy is renewed, it will be very difficult for us to get rid when things turn sour. Which, if we carry on as we are, they will.

Iv nothing against CW but he is massive step down from our current manager. They had a way of playing last season but it all hinged on certain players being fit. It basically all revolved around OConnell and once he got injured it all fell apart, Roy has got us through some rough times with shocking amounts of injuries and CW wouldn’t have known where to start.

Big no for me.

He'd also be able to get us playing a more attractive style of football without compromising our defense

They played dire footy.
