I’ll watch it tonight in full expectation that we’ll get a hammering, but to be honest I’ve written this one off as an excuse for some midweek beers and I’ll be happy if we (1) get Wilf back and see a good performance against Spurs, and then (2) take that into the West Brom game which we need to get a result from

Hodgson's post match comments will prove entertaining. "0-0 was the best we could have hoped for given the circumstances" "0-8 was the best we could have hoped for given the circumstances" "1-0 was the best we could have hoped for given the circumstances" Take your pick!

I not confident of a win but we will be in with a shout. There will be high-decibel shouting by our supporters lacerating Mr Hodgson as our team succumbs to another comprehensive defeat.

As for me, I'll predict a Palace narrow...win? defeat? a narrow WIN (I must be mad but wouldn't it be great to be the team that ended Man U's unbeaten PL away record stretching back more than a year now? That's the kind of team we are, winning when one least expects it and losing games we ought to win.)

We do have a slight outside chance of a goal or two on the counter as AWB and Shaw play so high up the pitch leaving room in behind, while de Gea has a mistake in him. Of course they have in their armoury the one thing we really struggle with and that is speed both in thought and of foot. If we get a result again I can only guess that someone has some nudey photos of Lady Luck and that's why she's smiling on us so often this season!

With Wilf we might have some luck but without him I doubt it. Edited by The Dolphin (03 Mar 2021 6.13pm)
