Those that matter yes. This one didn't. Now we don't have to waste time and resource playing Citeh two days before we are due to play Everton in the PL (much more important game).

That's no excuse for a performance like that. If he wasn't bothered about winning he could have tried something different like actually attacking. We had 38% possession against a poor championship team.

Pathetic really. No desire at all! Worryingly, Batshuayi and Eze both looked poor. I’m hoping it’s just lacking match sharpness because it does feel like we’ve put a lot of hope in those two to bring us goals this season. Not writing them off but was hoping this game would give Roy a headache over selection but I’d be very surprised if we didn’t start the XI against United (maybe Luka for McCarthy) with Batshuayi and Eze on the bench.

Max Meyer feels like a lost cause. Technically a good player but won’t succeed with is the same way Williams and Bannan didn’t. Running around, head down, sideways passing. I’d love to be wrong though.

Jach actually looked not awful which was surprising. Not sure he works as LB but also not convinced of him as a CB yet either. Worth another look at. Inniss isn’t Prem quality, slow and cumbersome with a mistake in him. Good to see Sakho back.

Knowing we had Man City in the next round means I'm not really bothered we are out.

Lots of players got a run out against decent opponents (why didnt we do that at the end of last season). Pleased to see key players rested.

Kept a clean sheet with a extremely untested side, short on fitness and not playing in their natural roles.

Anyone got any opinions on Inniss, Woods, Jach, Kirby?

Can't really criticise Roy over a nothing game or a keeper for missing a penalty.

And that is the right answer.

To be honest Roy looked pleased with the point. Job well done, keeping a clean sheet provides a good foundation to go on and get a win. A good night's work. Without VG's top class display on Saturday we would be 10 games without a win.

Even Wayne excelled himself this evening, introducing a whole new area of mediocrity even I had not expected to see. Someone please, for the love of God, take the fellow outside put a gun to his head and end our collective misery. The ghost of Tony Pulis continues to haunt us all.

Oh and mods - you might want to spring for a new server or hosting arrangement. The current one grinds to a halt on matchdays - otherwise, appreciate your good work.

Thought they were all ok. Personally thought innis did really well, buy 25 now so unlikely to get into first 11. Woods most likely as He's 22 and did ok. Jach worth persevering with on the bench. Kirby not going to make first team.

And I thought I was Fed up Gribbo!

Silver lining is we don’t get to put up that type of performance against City and take an absolute beating.

I understand why we play tight defensive football against dangerous opponents in the Prem - but I’d hope we would offer more than that when we have an opportunity to get on the front foot.

All the exciting signings in the world can’t compensate for dull negativity tactics. Come on Roy let’s get on the front foot! Ffs.

They were all terrible the reason we couldn't get a foothold into the game was because the back 4 were s*** at passing the ball only when sakho came on we improved. Kirby is very s***.

Buzzing I didn't pay the tenner to watch that

horrible to watch tbh, absolutely nothing about us. I'm putting the anti Roy agenda aside this season (for now...) but he does know for us to keep on side he has to get us attacking, right? We won't be having another season of 30 odd goals and 4 shots in 90 mins, he is aware of that? Can only hope it's a one off this season

always tried to defend him but we should sell Max. Just won't make it here.

Not a bad deal for a tenner

Think you and I have a different idea of what constitutes a good deal.

For a tenner I’d expect Parish to buy me a beer and Suzanna Reid to nosh me off at half time.
