Well at least one thing we learned from today is that Schlupp won’t be taking any more penalties.

It was def. a shocker!

Well on the plus side, it seems like we have the back 5 + replacements in every position locked down. PVA is out for a bit but Mitchell/Jairo can cover that off until he gets back. I read we’re targeting another defender, young CB for cover may allow us to let Sakho go back to France. Bella-Kotop?

Also defensive mid is well covered :0). Eze in and maybe Wilf out in the more attacking areas.

Striker required (as ever). Personally I’d like to see Tosun back. That would be 4 in and maybe a cheeky winger loan, should see us in good shape for next season.

Vive le Roy!

Roy gave details in his post match interview. Not fully up to fitness yet. Not surprising really considering the operation and no football since January.

He will not be played much till after tribunal on his cost. A lot of our case will be about he may not be player he was before injury and that WBA caused this by playing him injured

Lovely through ball by Schlupp for Zaha to score. Hope we see more of that this season a quick early ball forward catching the opposition off guard. Ayew should have taken the penalty Schluppy won't get another chance after that.

Sounds right to me. Expect Joel to continue for the foreseeable future.

Thought that Kirby and Boateng both played pretty well when they came on. Would love to see some extended run outs for them in preseason.

I very much suspect that Ward will be in situ for the start of the season.
Due to injury Ferguson hasn't played since January and he is not ready as yet to play games. I'm not convinced about this signing at all.

I have always felt a real attacking full-back would provide us with an added dimension in the final third and of course this is not Ward's game.

From Roy words I get that we won't probably see him before 1 month, if not more (my guess).
He hasn't yet been given the green light to start normal training, he's still 1 on 1 with the physios.
So, once he starts he has to do the whole preseason training that the others have done already and then get into the tactics.
Even if young I don't see it all happening at least for 3-5 weeks.

Possibly much longer, in the meantime we will be playing an ageing right-back who will be targeted by our opponents.

In the final analysis, we purchased an injured full-back when we have a weakness in that position. It is little wonder that our supporters throw back their heads in utter frustration.
