Mr Hodgson has taken the responsibility of keeping our team in this league.

No idea why you moan so.

Spot on

Just nonsense.

We are the least expansive team in the league - no one is saying go completely gun ho, but the idea we can’t do anything but this is so stupid it’s untrue. We’ve played more expansively than this plenty of times ourselves in recent years and not done any worst. We will be the lowest scoring team to survive in the premier league (bar Huddersfield) in the last 7 years, so by very definition there are 5 comparable teams a year who play more expansively than we do now and have stayed up.

As I said above, the Chelsea and united games are clear as day proof that we could approach games differently, with the same squad, if we wanted to.

Yes we lost heavily under Pardew at times, but we also won heavily and often scored more than 2 a game(!!!!!), and reached a bloody cup final - it’s funny when fans try and use that as the yardstick for a bad season.. I’d take that any day over the utter s***e we’ve watched this year.

Accusing everyone who disagrees with you of acting like a teenager whilst writing in alternate capital letters is also quite amusing.

Have you compared the opportunities created and missed in comparison.

There's a reason Mr Pardew is nowhere to be seen.

You are falling or have fallen into the category of being a fan who only understands a performance through goals scored.

I really don’t understand this view point - one of the two main measurements in the game of football is goals scored - why on earth would this not be used to measure performance. Performances don’t win football matches, goals scored do.

To excuse Hodgson for our poor set pieces and tactics is patently absurd.
He's kept Luka on corner duty for the majority of the time in the last couple of seasons and the delivery and movement of the players are rarely varied.
We pose a non-existent threat from set pieces which is inexcusable for a squad containing Dann, Benteke, Cahill, Kouyate and Tomkins.
Obviously Hodgson doesn't take the set pieces any more than managers of other teams than manage to score from them somehow.
One goal from around 180 corners this season says it all.
If people want to defend Hodgson from even the mildest criticism that is their prerogative, but the evidence that is being witnessed on the field speaks for itself.

Many fans are saying Mr Hodgson is at fault for all our failings in front of the enemies goal and I just happen to not agree at all, take Burnely for example .. we had 17 shots at their goal and I remember mostly Ayew's close header that to me seemed easier to score, lots of fans will say we were awful against Burnley but I say if we'd be able to score just one of the many excellent opportunities we created (with Mr Hodgson watching) the impetus of this game would have more then likely gone our way and the mistake that allowed their winner would not have been as disastrous as it turned out to be.
What I'm saying is that an opportunity missed that should've been scored is providing the negativity for fans to vent their anger at our manager when quite simply if the opportunity had been taken their anger would be replaced with joy, to blame our manager for these misses is simply silly.

Goals allow fans to forget the s*** they've witnessed before and after.

You make it sound as if our players want to fail for the fun of it, Managers advise players on what to do, players that play for the top sides are able to make space for themselves Moan.U's first goal prime example, if our players were able to do this they too would be doing it at a top side ..even Zaha missed three one on ones didn't he.

Doesn't really address my point on set pieces.
We managed to score from set pieces with almost the same group of players in previous seasons.
Dann was always good for a few goals a season from them and set pieces are a very useful weapon in your armoury when you struggle to score goals through other means.
Nonetheless, I respect your right to defend Hodgson at all costs.

Milivojević , failing to clear the first man from a corner almost 80% of the time is not hodgsons fault, When it does finally clear the first man it’s too long and high, again this isn’t hodgsons fault.

He's the manager and I'm unaware of rules precluding him from changing the corner taker, or indeed on varying corner routines.
The absolving of any responsibility on the part of Hodgson is baffling.

I appreciate that we have only scored 1 goal from a corner this season but Leicester and Man Utd who are high in the table have only scored 3 goals each from corners this campaign.

Yes it is Hodgson’s fault because he tells him to take the corners. Do you not recall when Milivojevic was out of the side how our corner delivery improved.

It’s also baffling that everything is also being blamed on him ,
