The question is what do you go to games for? If it's only the result that matters then you might as well just stay at home and check the table every week. I go in the hope that I will enjoy an entertaining game with my club trying to score goals. That will never happen under Hodgson. This season we've scored 12 goals in 16 home games; last season it was 19 in 19 and that was only because 5 came in the last match. I want to see us using our own youngsters or buying players from the lower leagues rather than ageing has-beens or PL cast-offs like McCarthy. I'd honestly prefer to be in the Championship and enjoy games than watch this dirge under Hodgson every time.

Simply, No. It's frustrating at times yes, but he gets the best out of what we have. The only way I would consider replacing Roy is if the board miraculously announces a £200 million transfer kitty for this summer. If that happens I'll give you the money myself! I've seen rumours of Dyche, who I think would be great, but it would be exactly the same style and anybody who complains of Roy now would soon start complaining of Dyche. Unless we can make dramatic changes to the playing staff this summer, the board will stick with Roy for another season and rightly so. We won't have any great success but are unlikely to lose our PL status.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Bored this morning so thought I would have a tally up of where we are with this thread. So, the original question is "Is it time for Roy to Go, yes or no" YES NO Had an opinion but didn't answer the question So 12 yes, 11 no and 12 no specific answer. Not sure you can draw anything from that analysis, but it did kill 20 minutes :-)

Fair cop, so my answer is NO. Me too, it is more a question of whether he would put up with us any longer.

No for me. Roy alluded to his position in relation to our present squad after the Bournemouth game, comparing our bench to them, a batch of youngsters compared to a number of experienced Prem players. Think this is what he wanted all season to be honest and our transfer policy hasn't produced this. We have an ageing, over salaried, strong defensively but very weak attacking wise squad. Don't think this can all be put on Roy's doorstep. Hoping that the belt tightening is only temporary and this will loosen sometime soon.

I can't see us staying up next season. Roy can only keep us up by our bootstraps for so long. And TBH we have had a degree of luck this season. The one hope is a massive injection of cash for 3 or 4 players. Likely? Don't think so. Our football has, for the most part been dire to watch. The chances of finding a Klopp are remote. We have no young players about to burst on the scene. The present squad is too old and our star player is pissed off. As for the original question: Sorry I'm on the fence I really don't know.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

He needs to go He has one plan in every game and keeps using the same names over and over again plus when he does give some one else a chance which is forced on him he doesn't use them correctly just drops them in same spot even does the same when he makes a sub which again dont get me started on that. The other thing people mention about not having much money well I don't trust this guy with money just listen to him he doesn't even get involved in that side of things he leaves it to the likes of Dougie that for me straight away is alarm bells. He hasn't even recruited better coaches either. We do appear to get a lot of injuries as well which i put down to poor management.

Sacking a manager who delivers what their sole aim is without an idea of who to hire and if he or they would want it would be moronic anyway, and would look seriously bad if we got relegated with a manager we accepted but we didn’t really want.

Ah, I had you and a couple of others on the fence with that one Rudi and I did consider that but only a bit of fun though
