The benefit being that one player change can alter the system we play.

Personally would go with the two JMs and Luka.

When we signed McCarthy he said if we can keep him fit then we have an amazing player on our hands... He said that Everton fans had a saying that ‘70% of the earth is covered by water.... The rest of it is covered by James McCarthy’.. I now know what he means!
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

In my opinion he is the our 1st choice CM now. It will be interesting to see who Roy starts in the next game. James MCCarthur had an off day yesterday so wouldn’t be surprised to see Luka step back in. Very rare for RH to change a winning team

Kouyate is because in my book he was so awful mostly with losing possession and in turn momentum to how he is today so his improvement started from being a liability to being an asset today ...while Ayew started very decently but with only one goal to show for it to becoming totally out of this world ..in Palace fc terms of being able to score lol

He's a worker more than a player but he's a high class worker, he's technically very good although there aren't too many slide rule passes, maybe that's down to losing his touch a bit after his injuries and it'll come back I don't know, I didn't see him all that much for Everton, but I reckon he'd be a perfect partner for a playmaker, like Graham Roberts and Glenn Hoddle - Jan Wouters, Claude Makelele all great players who did the dirty work for the artists, I remember David Wright running around with his arse on fire to put the ball on the spot for Owen Garvan's sweet left foot, it may not be Roy'style, we seem to be tracking Tufan from Turkey, but we could afford a luxury playmaker with McCarthy next to him to set him up, the same way Henderson and Milner do the donkey work for the star players in the Liverpool side.
