I find it slightly underwhelming that we are relying on a cast off from a team in a similar mid table position to us. The guy chose Everton over us and having failed to impress there is now coming here.
I hope I am wrong and he turns into a goal scoring machine. But I can't help thinking that having dodged the first bullet we are now intent on shooting ourselves in the foot with the second.

Let’s get behind him and give the fella a chance. He can’t be slower than Benteke, out of position more than Sorloth, offside more than Batshuayi, or injured more than Wickham.

Happy to give him a chance - everyone deserves that.
But not sure why we're getting the SAME sort of forward? Tosun, Benteke, Wickham - all great strikers at Burnley. But not for Roy's palace.

In the Prem teams buy in the most talented and in form players from around the world.

They are given a year to 18 months to settle in, get up to pace and learn the game and if they can't do it they are considered to be flops/donkeys.

They then do everything they can to get them off the books so they can bring in another foreign player in form who looks good on YouTube.

I say, this is the same player who was so coveted 18 months ago. Maybe a new environment and encouragement will work wonders? Look at what Conte has done for Lukaku at Inter.

Only reservation is him doing salutes to the Turkish military after he scores, don't think we should be encouraging genocide as a club.

If Roy chose him then clearly he must have a plan for him.

I like to think of Everton as a generous benefactor. 20 odd million for Bolasie when we paid peanuts for him and then paying £27m for a player we originally wanted before letting us test him out first and then possibly buy at around £17m.

Rather than taking the negative here that we are taking on cast offs, this could be a good bit of business.

Roy wanted Ings as well but we missed out on that one and he has gone from zero to hero in a short space of time.

Just because players are rejected by one club doesn’t mean they are finished. Horses for courses and all that.

Strikers instinct.

Not scared to have a go.
I reckon 25% of their goals are a chance shot from this type of range.
Deflections from these can bring rewards as well.
Heres hoping roy gives him the green light for this type of play.

With such an ineffective attack confidence is at a low across the board. As a result players are less inclined to have a go from distance as a miss just adds to the woe.

If he puts a shift in and manages to find the net regularly then fair do's. Even his comments about the club on his transfer to Everton might push him forward to put in a shift. I'm hoping that we get another attacking option in this transfer window as well, perhaps with younger legs.
