Get results against a misfiring West Ham,Southampton and Norwich,by no means impossible, and we will be flying and any negative talk will disappear!!

What, and Palace aren't?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

He is being paid around the current rate for backup player (Palace are just overpaying in so many areas)

I did state it does not include bonuses which i expect he gets nice ones when he plays

If these figures are correct then renewing CB/CW contracts was madness!

You say resigning CW/CB is madness but it’s not when you don’t have any money to replace them with by resigning them it’s costing the club £6m a year if they let them go it would cost us around £30-40m to replace them plus wages.

That is why they were renewed.

Dazza, In your above post you are talking sense. We need to get away from buying finished products and get our own hungry development players into useful first team action. The thought of some of our higher paid players fighting for their places, or finding themselves third choice does appeal.

The issue is I really don’t see Tekkers or Sako giving a flying f if they play or not. They cost 12m a year about 8% of the clubs turnover on 2 highly ineffective players.

Discussion on sky sports.
I presume, i may be wrong, you are talking of the brains trust that is Stelling , Merson, Le Tiss, Nicholas and Thomspson.
In which case no need to worry.

Your spot on, I watched it, it wasn't a discussion by any stretch of the imagination, it was only Merson's view, and basically it was in praise of Roy for what he has achieved at Palace with the tools he has at his disposal.

Praise that is full deserved.

Desperately underpaid on £1.3 million a year - not a bad life!

I wouldn't get complacent about being 7 points clear of the zone. All our wins seem to be skin of our teeth close.
We can't score. As our visit to Watford showed, there are no easy games. So I cannot feel secure about our position.

I'd just like to know how the Weed can have a superb, if smallish, stadium, look in better shape than us. It's like they are the bigger club now.

Why is money so tight? The wage bill is obviously huge but if you can't make a profit in the EPL WTF can you?

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I do the lotto for the £10K a month for life win. Wouldn't an extra £10K be wonderful. EPL footballers would consider that drinks money. They inhabit a different world.
