I work for a pension fund and the best performing part of our portfolio is alternatives and private equity. For the reasons stated Palace is not an attractive investment. It may seem a negative post but that is my view.

Football isn't like other businesses and the motivations for investing are often different too. We are turning over £150 million so, if we operate prudently, we could probably do a long run net income of £15 million a year. And we have plenty of room for growth if we get the stadium sorted. £210 million isn't so insane on that basis. It's a valuation too, not necessarily a cash outlay. Also, isn't there going to be a new European competition next year? A few extra bob in that.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

When I joined in 2002 it really was the nuts. At that point the technical infrastructure was up to date as well. I think it was Guardian's football fan's site of the year a little before that. Hopefully it'll regain those loft heights. I still cant get on with the other places.

My understanding is that Parish also wants to stay on in his current role, i.e. running the club . That could be a potential stumbling block A massive one. I'd assumed he'd accept that the club is attractive lock, stock and that it was up for sale in its entirety.

Right at the beginning we had our reservations about any American input and true to form, it has turned into a mess. Nothing has been learnt from other debacles that have gone on at other clubs. We might as well have had Donald Trump running the show, now who would fancy that?...
