Chalk and cheese. Totally different people, and football managers. Pardew is too far down one road, while Roy is too far down the other. You need some of Pardew like having some guts, having a go at teams, and taking the shackles off..... But you want a bit of Roy in there, solid shape when out of possession and well drilled. You need to strike a balance. If we could strike that balance we could be much higher up the league table, and approaching an FA cup semi final. You know what both are s*** at though? Coming up with a plan b when plan a isn’t working out, during a game. I agree... but I don't really want to talk or go back to the Pardew years. It's Roy now. My worry is that Roy has one way of playing and everyone knows it so every team we face knows how we play and will prepare for it. They know there is no plan B and what they see at kick off is what they will see at 90 minutes. That to me is a big handicap. This league has become more dynamic over the years.

Not checked out whether it’s true but someone told me Brighton have the youngest squad in the Premier League.

Like it or not, Potter is doing a good job - should have beaten Chelsea (hit the woodwork 5 times), should have beaten us (no shots on target from open play). Roy on the other hand continues to manage us like he did Inter Milan in the last century - hang out for the clean sheet and hope to nick a goal, home or away, Man C or Brighton - with no Plan B. Time's up for the old fella I am afraid. We need to be on the front foot changing hi out though. If he goes in a fit if pique we will be left with Dougie in charge. I am not sure that moves us any further forward.

It is an insult to compare Roy to Pardew. Pardew galvanised us for a while, when bold words mattered more than the content of his character. And I completely agree he unwittingly benefited from the lingering discipline that Pulis had instilled in us. Once that was gone, Pardew was a busted flush.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

It seems we may have gone full circle, regaining the ability to defend but completely losing and ability to attack.

Whilst I think it is time for Roy to go there is just no comparison between the two.

This plan B is a misnomer, we play 442 and 433 in different matches, which one is plan B.

Most of the criticism game from Man U's twitter army spitting blood that we'd embarrassed them, fueled on by people who just echo the loudest opinion. You're right that he should have been screeming at the team to get back, but we'd just ripped the roof off Wembley stadium. Anyone turning up to the Grimsby or Derby cup games should have got a refund.
