Obviously no one on here directs insults at Brighton and uses the reputation of a large demographic of its population for 'banter'. Fact is, we live in a world where anyone can literally do or be anything, long as they don't offend me, i don't care. If a bloke wants to wear a dress, if it suits him and he has the charisma to pull it off, fair play. If it's someone on the tram rambling to themselves - then obviously you may think twice. I dunno, why should we let it offend us, what someone does or how they identify themselves. I think people have a tie to Eddie, due to the club - he's one of our own. But - let's say Elton at Watford, does he get any abuse from opposition???

If he wants to be like that he can do it in his own home or whatever establishments he frequents where it is acceptable. Izzard showed no respect or consideration for others and knew exactly what he was doing. Please, please please NEVER visit Thailand and remember to tell your children there is no such country. People's lack of tolerance towards others and general ignorance never ceases to astound me.

Having read through this thread I find it quite amusing that the many people sticking up for Eddie Izzard's right to be who he wants are the very same people who abuse Brighton supporters for being gay which I find a little hypocritical. Before anyone says that it's just banter, the Brighton abusers are still using homosexuality as a form of abuse so they are just as bad as those that criticize those that have had a dig at Eddie Izzard Edited by Midlands Eagle (27 May 2016 8.49am)

Why feed the troll?! The thing is, I don't think he's a troll, but it appears the good people on this site have done my job for me.

You don't half take yourself seriously, don't you? So because you don't agee with other people's opinions on this, you take the moral high ground. That makes you just as bad as the person that abused your so called legend. I always try to take the moral high ground, it's what is known as morality. Especially where there is any debate it's a good place to be but do tell me the alternative. It is interesting that I am 'as bad as' someone that in a drunken stupor abused another person in a very nasty way because at other times he had worn clothing the individual didn't approve of. Your concept of bad would take some understanding.

Did Eddie in his high heels give you a lump in your throat or trousers maple tree? I haven't yet had a yellow card on this site. I nearly took the risk for you. But then I thought, quite frankly, you are absolutely not worth it. The effect of your abusive comments every couple of years is in fact quite therapeutic and reinforces my faith in the rest of the HOL community.

There's a few points here: Palace fans turning on each other at any time but particularly a Cup Final is pretty s***ty. Eddie Izzard has done one hell of a lot for the club and whether you respect his lifestyle / ability as a comedian, he should be respected for that. To say he should expect "banter" is pathetic. Calling someone a f***ing disgrace is not banter. Defending something as banter is the last refuge of the humourless. Lastly, Horbreaker is clearly a troll you only have to look at some of his older posts. Not very christian I have been a season ticket holder for over 15 years and lately I am getting feed up of these 'my sh*t don't stink' but deep down their a sl*t women turning round moaning about people swearing at home games. I am not saying they shouldn't be allowed to games but if they don't like it go in the family stand! This is football a working man's game swearing comes with the territory! One other thing that annoys me is that they are always getting up and getting a pizza or pie in the middle of the game! No wonder their all fat sl*gs! I know their will be many of you thinking the same but just afraid to say! Bring back the good old days when it was a man's game!

Izzard is freak! There was no homophobic comments stated within the press reports. If a man comes to a football match dressed as a woman then he gets what he deserves. He will be more at home in Brighton maybe he should go and follow the Albion. No, on one point you are right- there were no homophobic comments stated in the report. But let's be realistic- he wasn't calling him a disgrace because his lipstick didn't match his nail varnish, was he?
