Worst by far has to be some of the pond life who reside on the selling pages . Wanting a whole house full of furniture free or 'cheap as poss' use hun every word and then want you to drop it round for them.. or they're selling their kids bed or something and 'need gone today's presumably they have a debt to pay asap or clucking for a bit of gear.

When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC

Unfortunately, most of these posts are fake.... the idea is that anyone who types 'amen' or 'likes' or makes any contribution whatsoever to the page, then opens up their fb page to the original poster as well as their friends list, likes etc. You can then find YOUR name and page being used for passing on more fake stuff and spamming adverts.

Never respond is the safe answer!

The dealings I've had on them groups as well, like when someone posts something for sell that you show interest in and message the seller who sends you a couple back and then go cold.
I've also heard of countless people going to meet someone but the seller never shows up and people who buy things in good faith that end up being faulty.

If you think Facebook is bad, take a look at the nest of vipers that is Mumsnet.

We bought a bike off one of these listings. When we picked up 'this second hand bike no longer needed by his wife' there was another group of people picking up bikes (for the entire family).

He had what the police would refer to as sufficient bikes to warrant 'probable cause' in his living room, and a dodgy van, that almost certainly has seen more bikes roughly treated in the back than Ted Bundys

Don’t people who have certain government jobs have to change their names on there?

No, its just advisable. If your talking about very specific government jobs, you're advised to avoid being easily identified or not to use Facebook.

Weird thing with facebook is the number of dead people on there. As only the user is ever likely to delete their account, the number of people who are dead is growing rapidly (lets face it, no one ever thinks about getting facebook to the delete someone elses account, and then the hoops you have to jump through thanks to trolls makes it easier just to give up).

There are five dead people on my friends list, that I know for certain are dead.

Maybe just don't want to talk to you? Or spending some time dead for tax purposes?

Only because you killed them.
