It needs some big hitters like Boris and Gove to nail their colours to the Leave campaign and momentum will begin to gather pace.

Cameron will choose June 23rd as the day for voting because he knows the longer it goes on, the bigger the swing to leave the EU voters will become.

It's also a case of whether The Uk electorate choose to vote as a protest against Cameron & co. as opposed to the actual subject itself.

What side of the fence are you on Willo? You haven't made it thst clear.

I think one of the key factors about deciding if we should stay or leave the EU is not looking at the EU as it is at the moment, but looking at the EU as to what it will be 10 years down the road.

Turkey, Albania, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia are all in negotiations over membership. That’s nearly another 100 million people.

The Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia are all preparing to apply. That’s another 50 million!

The cultural make up of Britain has changed very quickly over the past 10 years but believe me, it’s nothing to what will happen over the next ten years unless we leave now.

I don’t blame anyone for wanting to come to Britain and improve their life, if I was from Albania, Turkey, wherever, and I couldn’t find work or the work I had paid me £150 per month etc then damn right I would set off and get myself a better life. However this is to the detriment of the British way of life.
Housing, schooling, healthcare, transport and other services that are often at bursting point at the moment will finally break. There is no way we as a society can cope with the numbers who have been arriving during the past 5 years let alone the numbers who will arrive when new member states join.

Does anybody honestly think that by letting in a country as big a Turkey with a population of 75 million that Britain and Germany would not be anything other than swamped?

This is not the EU which Britain signed up for – back then it was called the ‘Common Market’ which in essence it was, a platform to trade with ones neighbours, crikey only 5% of Turkey is even in Europe!!

This referendum is huge, without doubt the most important single political decision in any of our lives. We all have a duty to make sure we use this to protect our country, our values and our children’s future because if we stay in, we will rapidly head towards becoming a low income, 2nd world country.

Ironically as a property developer and landlord, I would actually be one of the winners if we stay in, more tenants pushing up rents and property prices, but you know what, when I look at my 95 year old grandad in his nursing home and remember what he did for the country during the war, when I think of our incredible history and all that Britain has offered the world, I would rather put the country and our British way of life ahead of any potential individual gain.

Rant over – enjoy your day folks

Like I've said, I'm undecided. But could do without downright lies being used on either side of the argument. I want facts not B/S...

Good post Tom-the-Eagle

In all the arguments - I have heard so far - from the IN campaigners they only seem to ever mention the economic benefit of EU membership and the claimed risks of leaving.
Surely there is so much more to life than economics and until I hear an IN campaigner provide the details also of the social and cultural benefits of membership I will remain sceptical of its real worth.

My gut feeling is that the EU needs us more than we need them.

If we remain in, I want it to be for the benefit of ordinary people, not corporations. Is there anyone that can convince me that this would happen?

If we leave, will I still be covered medically with an E111 card? Or will I no have to pay for medical treatment when visiting eu countries?

All this bollox about only being able to change things in the EU if we remain a member!!! FFS Camoron asked for almost nothing and that's what he got ,almost nothing!! If he can't even get what little he wanted changing, then just how the hell is he going to get any significant changes made....its only our cash the EU wants and now they're getting twitchy that we may well leave their little party, I live in Europe so may suffer some problems because of an out vote, but that's what I'll be voting, come what may, deal with the problems when they happen...As far as I know NO ONE voted for Tusk or Merkel to run the UK so they can both FRO !!!

Households in the UK get back eight times what they put in because of lower prices and jobs linked to being in the EU according to the CBI Stats.

As we are one of the top 3 net contributors, where exactly is the money coming from them.. We are told that the UK pays 55 million a DAY in so thatn means we get 440 million back. Hmmm!!! Someone's telling porkies....

Blimey some 'out' literature that doesn't use immigration as the central tenet for leaving...

Just as well then because due to mass uncontrolled immigration wages have hardly gone up at all over the past 15 years so it’s good to hear people get something back!
