Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a canon ball.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Most organised religions make a mockery of humanity, our governments are dangerous & they're out of control.

I could be a lawyer with stratagems and ruses
I could be a doctor with poultices and bruises
I could be a writer with a growing reputation
I could be the ticket-man at Fulham Broadway station

Louise is the reverent hard to please?
"youre telling me!"
Well sir if it's not too late,
We could interest you in some of our , old fashioned Staffordshire plate?
"Oh no, not me, I'm a man of repute!"
But the devil got hold of my soul
And a voice cried out "shoot"

I'm unclean, a libertine, And every time you vent your spleen, I seem to lose the power of speech, Your slipping slowly from my reach. You grow me like an evergreen, You never see the lonely me at all.

Some girls wonder, by mistake, into the mess that scalpels make, are you the teachers of my heart? we teach old hearts to break (Leonard Cohen)

Nothing ever burns down by itself, every fire needs a little bit of help. (Chumbawumba)

This is the hate socialist collective, all mental health corrected (Luke Haines)

and of course, Karen Carpenter, Queen of goth

Long ago and oh so far away
I fell in love with you before the second show
Your guitar, it sounds so sweet and clear
But you're not really here
It's just the radio

Take me back
Loneliness is a such a sad affair
And I can hardly wait to be with you again

What to say to make you come again
Come back to me again
And play your sad guitar

Cohen's first two albums....essential.

And I heard of the saint who had loved you
Yeah, I studied all night in his school
He taught that the duty of lovers is to tarnish the Golden Rule
And just when I was sure that his teachings were pure
He went and drowned himself in the pool
His body is gone, yeah, but back here on the lawn
His spirit continues to drool

I'd go out on a limb, and say that Leonard Cohen is probably the greatest songwriter of all time. I don't like the Synthesiser music, but even lyrically there is utter genius in almost every song.
