'If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're mis-informed'.

I certainly don't think you should just believe things people or an organisation tell you. It should be an investigative process.

I think it comes down to motive and for that you have to make a judgement upon the individual you are trusting....just as in our personal lives. How committed to truth are they, if they make a mistake or get something wrong how do they deal with that.

Campbell videos are a good source of official statistics on this topic. I certainly think everyone should think about what makes sense and doesn't.

This is true. My own view is that he probably started out with honorable motives but has tumbled into such a lucrative pot of gold that now he is feeding his audience the bits they want to hear.

Campbell's videos may well use official statistics, but he doesn't use them all and he then puts his own interpretation on them as to what they mean.

"Lies, damned lies, and statistics" is very pertinent. It's a way of describing how statistics are used to bolster weak arguments.

What has Campbell said that has been proven false?

I would have to trawl through 2000+ videos to answer that and I have no interest and even less time to waste on such a pointless exercise.

It's pointless because we aren't dealing with absolute, incontrovertible facts. We are dealing with opinions.

It's no different to asking an atheist to prove that there is no God. Conspiracy theories live because of a lack of certainty. For some, it seems, if it could be, it is.

Standards of proof vary. Believers in God believe without any proof that would satisfy me but do them.

So it's a question of who you trust. A non-specialist making YouTube videos and in so doing becoming very rich? Or the vast majority of specialists, all around the world, who have reached a consensus?

I am having my next booster on Monday and am very glad I am. Covid is still in circulation and I will do all I can to avoid catching it again, but should I do so expect an updated vaccine to protect me from the worst effects.

Considering what you have said about this man I find that quite low.

Campbell hasn't lied about anything. You might disagree with his interpretation of the data but you don't even know or can point to it. Campball has done nothing for you to suggest the lowest of motives, indeed you do not having a shred of evidence for any of it. The man has given his life in service to others.

Having your booster are you, cool, Campbell also had the vaccines. Unlike you though he doesn't have a closed mind.

I have seen enough of his videos to detect a change in them. They started by informing, moved to questioning and then to accusing. The tone has changed.

I have no doubt that before he became a YouTube celebrity he indeed "gave his life to others", although he got paid too.

Now though he is making more money in a year than he earned in his lifetime before. Would you risk shooting the golden cow when you could ensure your family's future for generations?

If he stated publicly that he was giving all his YouTube earnings to research then I would be forced to re-appraise, but so far as I know he doesn't.

Since the booster is only available for those aged at least 75 or with a weakened immune system the threat of the NHS being overwhelmed is apparently a thing of the past.

The WHO declared the pandemic was over a few days ago but warned this doesn’t mean we can lower our guard.

The NHS is now playing catch up but is restricted by staff shortages, My wife’s department wants to switch to 12 hour clinics and work Sundays too, rather than 8 hours and 6 days but staffing it is the issue.

Not everyone thinks like a marketing manager or landlord you know.

It seems to have escaped your notice that Campbell gained this audience while advocating for the vulnerable taking the vaccines....which I repeat, he did himself.

In fact by investigating and questioning now he risks being banned off of Youtube and losing this money which you seem to think motivates him....He had a strike last week, which took him off the platform for a week.

I repeat, you have absolutely no evidence for your opinions, which I suggest are quite nasty and unfounded.

But the decision to limit the boosters was taken in April.

Whilst I don’t have the skills, or time to do this it seems others have at least the time. Judge for yourself if they have the skills. There are more where these come from. These are simply samples:-

I would expect the DHSC and the WHO talk to each other and know what’s planned well ahead of announcements.

Must be why the strikes were planned for the same time.
